  1. Give it a day or two and see if it is consistent I'd say. Might be corrupt data in the cache or something, I have no idea. Glad it worked, though. [emoji106]

So do you open this app every time you need GPS or just once? I just downloaded the app and it locked on after about 10 seconds.

  2. Anyone having issues today. Since around midnight I keep flipping to EVDO instead of LTE or even eHRPD this has been primarily in North County on the 270 and 70 corridors. I have Band 41 disabled because I found tethering wouldn't work when connected to Band 41. Also I've had issues on two different towers in St Charles County where the Internet was almost nonexistent on 3g and band 25/26 one was tr hughes and cool Springs ind in O'Fallon the other Lake St Louis Blvd and Ronald Reagan in Lake St Louis.

I had issues last night at midnight but none since
  3. so your Sprint number is NOT your Google Voice number, correct? if that is the case, that is why you are not experiencing the problems.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Once again I'm not having these issues and my Sprint number is my GV number. I just sent a text to my co-worker and he received it once.

  4. I an bailing out this Sprint Google Voice and Hangouts intergration. Many people have reported that they are receiving any where from 5-10 duplicated messages.

Here is what I speculate.... There is a serious bug when you send a GV/hangouts SMS.... every session of Google thatv you have logged in.. Sends out a text message. Any browser and smartphone.. recognizes you send and SMS.... and sends SMS out.. Hangouts can't determine that the SMS has been sent already.

That is just my educated guess.. because every Hangouts session I have logged it... that is how many SMS messages the other party gets.

I will switch back to my old setup again...

Since integration I haven't had any issue with text or mms.
  5. Yes, DAS systems are complex. They aren't like the macro sites where the new vendor can just replace with his stuff. About 3/4 of DAS sites are owned by the property owner or a third party that installs/manages the DAS. Most DAS systems are multi provider too. And there are dozens of different vendors and equipment types. Each is a unique situation. Some will involve tearing into ceilings and disrupt the property function. Unfortunately, most DAS systems were not designed to be easily adaptable to future technologies.

The last third are ones owned and installed by Sprint. But these are mostly used in corporations and not public venues. A lot of these are being worked on now. In our NV Sites Complete maps, we label DAS systems that have been upgraded to Network Vision. It is occurring, but it is a very slow process. We expect it to start gaining momentum next year.

VZW, ATT, Tmo have been struggling to upgrade their Public DAS systems to LTE too. But they have a few advantages. ATT and VZW have low frequency spectrum advantage which gets their signal inside airport terminals from sites off the airport grounds. ATT and Tmo often have pretty robust 3G on airport DAS systems that have not been upgraded, because they often include 5MHz WCDMA channels.

Here in St. Louis at Lambert we have a B41 tower that covers the East Terminal pretty well. I pulled I think 20mb down back in April on it. We don't have DAS here in our airport according to the maps but once all the towers near it (which is one left) are upgraded it will be better for single band phones.

  6. Is her phone a straight S4 and NOT a triband?  I'd bet that it is.

Since the newer tribands are higher serial numbers, the straight S4s should see it first.  Once they are pushed, then the Triband phones should start getting the push.

Since mine was purchased on release day, mine should be one of the first sparks to get it.

    She is S4T.
