  1. Souvenirs of a bygone era, garage wall adornment perhaps? Or some sort of crazy armchair engineering experiments... Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  2. I've experienced that before, my home tower is Clear B41 with no NV 1.0, and there is a Sprint B41 tower (fully upgraded sans B26) nearby that is about a block or two out of my range. The Clear tower hiccups at least 2 or 3 times a month, sometimes for hours at a time and I'm thrown down to EVDO or fringe B25 (which always works fine nonetheless, I believe from the upgraded tower). Not sure if that's network prioritization or a genuine problem, I use minuscule amounts of data (no streaming, downloading, updating...mainly email and Tapatalk). Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  3. I'm having the opposite effect...I drove 26 miles from Rowland Heights, CA to Glendale, CA without dropping LTE once. This is the first time that's ever happened. Sorry to hear your pain [emoji31] Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  4. Yes, I do Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
  5. I'm in northern OC/eastern LA County, I still have not seen the 800 RRU's installed on the towers south and east of that virtual diagonal 800 boundary yet...you can be sure I'll holler when I see them though! EDIT: In the LA Metro thread of course [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  6. I had problems the first week WiFi calling was rolled out (calls going directly to voicemail). I re-enabled it last week and it works great now. Handing off to multiple AP's on the same WiFI network is weird though (strange clicking noises for about 3 seconds or so), but it works nonetheless. I'm happy with it. 7. Lets keep this thread alive! I give thanks to Robert, AJ, the rest of the S4GRU staff and members for sharing their knowledge and passion for wireless with me. I've certainly learned more here than any tech site I've ever frequented. And while I don't know or understand enough to add much to the conversation in a technical capacity, I sure enjoy the ride. Donation sent [emoji106]???? Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  8. I received two HD Voice calls today from people on Android phones, worked fine. I'm on 8.3/19.1 Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the clarification [emoji106] Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
  10. Not sure. I used to think they were Clear but the panels seem a tad long and too rounded to be the Huawei dual mode gear, and there are no RRU's. Not to mention Sprint has their 8T8R equipment up. The only other provider I know of in this area beside the obvious is Towerstream, and I have no idea what their equipment looks like. 11. Yep, darn near every Verizon tower in LA looks like that...poor ugly ducklings Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  12. My average is 1.83 GB, with a ton of WiFi offloading. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, I probably wouldn't have done that if I didn't know what I know [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  14. I was at a street fair last weekend and walked past a Verizon Wireless booth. They walked up to me and asked if I'd be interested, I told them no thanks...I'm a satisfied Sprint customer. They chuckled as if I was out of my mind, to be honest that's the first time I've ever had that reaction. In defensive mode, I ran a 55 Mbps speed test in front of them connected to B41. They had nothing to say after that, and I walked away...smug as hell. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  15. Same here, I haven't received an HD call since the update. I think I prefer the 1x800 priority better though, I work in a building that has concrete walls on the first level and a parking garage with two sub levels, in a dense multi-level urban neighborhood. T-Mo and AT&T are no service, and Sprint trumps even Verizon with their 1x800 here. :gloat: Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  16. Not too shabby considering there are probably at least a thousand people there Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  17. Darn 8.3. I miss this app. At least my WiFi issues have been corrected finally...one step forward and one step back. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  18. At least is still shows me when I'm on 1x800 Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  19. I had the same issue along with a few other members. You have to reprovision your account to turn off WiFi calling on the screen that pops up when you change the emergency 911 address. Fixed it for me. Forget about WiFi calling until they sort that one out. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  20. Me too. I don't even need WiFi calling, I just wanted to try it because it was something new. I'll leave it alone for the time being. Hopefully it's not a widespread problem, lots of mutual confusion and head scratching otherwise. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  21. I can confirm the same issue here. I toggled it off, logged on to my account and removed the provisioning, and all is well now. This is a big bug, what a headache. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  22. I'm in LA/OC and the areas I go have decent coverage, with no B26 deployed and no 1x800 in the eastern portion. Your profile states Chicago, which is a more advanced market...odd that you're having such a wonky experience. Could be a bad SIM or device, is there anyone you know that you could compare with?
