  2. Thanks AJ, I thought it might be CDMA1X 800 but I didn't know how to confirm it. I knew something good was happening when "No Service" disappeared for good and my phone stopped roaming down in the garage. A subterranean parking garage, by the way...
  3. Sorry about the crappy shots, I tried my best... This is what the screens look like when I'm in the part of my building where I had no problem receiving coverage before, but still deep inside. Confirms PCS. If I go onto the upper floors I get a great band 25 LTE signal. This is what the screens look like when I'm in the part of my building where I had no service until a couple of months ago. Could still be PCS, not sure how to tell. If it is still PCS, maybe they tweaked the nearest tower a bit so the signal is better. I'm not schooled in the engineering aspect of all of this...I can say that I took these screenshots in the bottom level of a two level parking garage.
  4. I'll give it a try and post a screen shot. Is there any specific info that will tell me if I'm on SMR or PCS?
  5. I'm in LA, and I get voice deep inside of buildings on my 5 where I had no service just a month or two ago. It's pretty reliable, calls stay connected. I'm guessing that's SMR working, otherwise outside its likely PCS...which is pretty good in my area anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. ALERT: I received a letter in the mail from Sprint thanking me for being a loyal customer and notifying me of my new 2 yr. contract on the gateway with a $200 ETF. On the website, the only option is to purchase for $199 outright with no contract...which is what I thought that I had signed up for. Obviously they had made a mistake, I called customer service and a very pleasant person named Ruby was able to correct the situation with help from a supervisor. She said it was a glitch and was surprised that it happened. All is good now I am not using this gateway as my primary ISP, as I do not want to be a bandwidth abuser. I merely purchased the gateway and the service because I am a Sprint junkie and wanted to experience tri-band in all its glory without having to ditch my iPhone to do so. Good times ahead...
  7. I live in between two towers, the one closest to me has no NV work done and the other one further away is NV complete and broadcasting band 25. My phone picks up LTE from the tower further away once in a blue moon, but most of the time is latched onto the closer no NV tower. My router has a constant connection to band 25 on the more distant tower. The FCC ID on the router is PY313200235.
  8. I've had the new router for a week. Where I keep it, LTE Signal strength averages between -103 and -106 RSRP on band 25 (shows one bar on the signal strength indicator), and I'm averaging between 6.5 and 10 Mbps. Have not dropped signal even once. Very satisfied with speed and performance considering conditions, and I cannot complain. Being a tri-band device, I can only see it getting even better once the build out is complete in my area and I can see what it is really capable of.
  9. I work in Los Angeles in a dense neighborhood full of multistory buildings, and I am finally able to make and receive phone calls deep inside of the building and subterranean parking where I had no service until about a week ago. I'm guessing it is because of the recent CDMA1X 800 acceptances. None of my co-workers on any of the other carriers can boast the same results. Their jealousy is starting to manifest...

  17. This site is a great learning experience for me. I travel 80 miles round trip from North Orange County to West Hollywood every day. Navigating traffic, I have lots of different routes to and from home and work. I am impressed with how much better the network has become in the past year around me and I am seeing Sprint deliver on its promises. Thanks S4GRU for opening my eyes and making me as network obsessed as I am cellphone obsessed.
  18. Receiving limited LTE in La Habra and Brea...seems to be a tower lit up on Central near Berry, picking up speeds between 6 and 10 Mbps. The site at Imperial and Harbor and the site hidden in the clock tower at La Bonita Park don't seem to have LTE yet, but unknown to me previously there is a little site close to Whittier and Euclid that's lit up pretty good...
