  1. Oh ok, yeah. I think thats where we had disagreed on. I was thinking the main source would be right here on St.thomas in relation to the work being done around the island(seemed more logical) and he was saying that the main source could possibly be from PR. Well sprint has to be getting its backhaul from somewhere to deliver lte speeds.
  2. No what egonadrian was saying is that the backhaul was more than likely microwave linked from PR, which I didn't think was the case. What Robert is saying is that the master backhaul isn't from PR but is in fact located on St. Thomas, from there it is then microwaved to the other towers around the island. Now that I think about it, the main tower site is probably on Mountain Top being that all the sites have a direct line of sight with that tower with the exception of the tower in redhook and the tower in anna's retreat.
  3. They should have just gold plated the front as well.
  4. I know that towers feed other towers backhaul through microwave link on the island itself, I mean you can look at the towers and see that for yourself but I simply just don't see how backhaul has been or will be received through microwave link from Puerto Rico. Hopefully Robert can chime in clarify a few things.
  5. Yeah, been flashing his roms for a while as well. Anyway sounds like you really have a hardware issue.
  6. I think all of us have conversed with each other in a very respectful way so you saying "U small minded people" and saying I am "to bigheaded to listen" isn't going to get you too far on this site. Now as far as our pm, you didn't give me any information at all that wasn't anything more than extremely vague speculation from someone else who probably got that same vague speculative information from someone else.
  7. When it comes to sprint's network vision updates, you won't find a better place to get information so yes a lot of people here do know a lot more than you but that doesn't mean you can't add your own useful information to the discussion. This isn't a church service where you sit and listen to someone preach, this isn't a pissing contest either, we are all here for the same thing which is to discuss and get accurate information that we can't get from sprint directly. Now if the settings in your device some how switches from cdma to cdma/lte on its own then thats a separate issue and has nothing to do with an actual lte signal.
  8. This makes no sense, please explain further. Also, ask yourself why did you even become a member for this site? Wasn't it basically to get information about sprint's lte for your location? If you actually have useful information why not share it since we are all here to discuss the same thing? If you have an issue with getting anyone in trouble then you can easily share the information privately with staff and/or Robert so they can verify the information but it doesn't look good for you to say you know so much yet haven't actually contributed anything credible or worthwhile to the thread.
  9. Looks like it may be a hardware issue then. Have you tried going back to stock and see if it does the same thing? Yeah the last meanbean for the evo, mikeyxda has been deving for the note 2 now. I think he may have also left sprint for verizon as well.
  10. I am also running the latest(also the last) meanbean rom for the evo and I don't have this issue at all. Have you added any additional mods? Have you tried performing a hard reset?
  11. Ok, what exactly did you do to it?
  12. If you haven't used it then you might want to give it a chance. When I first heard of blinkfeed I thought it would be a waste of space. But after setting it up the way I saw fit, its turned into the number one feature I use on the phone and if the next htc phone doesn't have it, it would be a feature I would miss quite a bit.
  13. If your phone was actually bricked then you wouldn't have been able to fix it. Its not hard to root unless you simply don't follow directions well(no offense to you just speaking in general)and its even ridiculously easier to get s-off. You need to decide what is more important to you, vanilla android or slightly older software with sense 5. If vanilla android is more important then just root and flash, you can even find youtube videos walking you through the process. If they release an aosp build for any other One other than the One from google it will probably be for the developer version only. Carrier specific devices will more than likely be SOL without root. I haven't had any issues on wifi 3g or 4g.
  14. Yeah, I don't how samsung could release this device on a global scale, that will no doubt cannibalize their own sales. Bro, go get you a gs4 and call it a day, this phone isn't coming to sprint.
  15. Yeah but chong lives probably no more than a mile or two away from me, this entire area is covered in lte. There shouldn't be any complaints when it comes to 4g on our side of town.
  16. Thank you for the informative post, I am familiar with most of what you said but the part thats in bold I am not sure about. So let me ask you a question, are you saying that sprints current(and future) backhaul are(will be) microwave links from puerto rico? Because I don't think thats the case at all.
  17. Well the sprint One is a world phone and it does have a sim card. As a matter of fact if you remove the sim card you won't have lte service only 3g. You can get it to work on other gsm carriers by getting it unlocked through sprint but your data service will be limited to whatever 3g frequencies are supported between the One and whatever carrier.
  18. Well that definitely won't work being that their lte service runs on a different frequency than the sprint's version of the One supports.
  19. I don't see why not, I mean boost is already selling the gs3 with lte support.
  20. Its been unlocked, but you have to call sprint to get them to do it. This thread talks about it more in detail. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2243724
  21. Well I guess you would definitely know better than I would since I don't live in PR but I have visited PR countless times and what I have experienced has always been a lot better than what I would get in the VI.
  22. Well there could definitely be a change in performance going from cell site to cell site. In the meantime though, I would call sprint and tell them whats happening. They will probably walk you through reprovisioning your service, during the process they will give you a 6 digit code which will be your msl number. Make sure you write it down.
