Anyone see any LTE anywhere, yet? I haven't been to the Baymeadows tower (the one in the picture above) since the 18th so I have no idea whether or not it is live yet.
I drove passed the Baymeadows tower on the way back from Orlando. I cycled airplane mode nothing happened. It didn't even show up on the LTE record. I also went by the site on I95 and Busch drive and got the same thing.

Verizon is marketing their plans very well and making the customer feel as if they are saving. The average customer doesn't use a lot of data like the power users on this site. Some customers actually save at first but as time go on and users switches to LTE devices data usage starts to go up. Also I forgot to mention that the biggest reason people switch to share everything plans is to get subsidized devices.

I saw a crane working on the tower on I95 and Busch drive near the Budweiser plant today.

Is it a tower right behind the Comfort Suites and Troy moving company? I'd like to go check it out later this month if that's the tower you're talking about.
EDIT: Oh Snap! That's the tower for my Deerwood FSCJ campus, too! (If it's the one you're talking about.)
I rode by that site again today as I was driving down I95. The site is definately getting work done to it. The Verizon site and AT&T sites are already done in that area so my only guess is that its a sprint site. It also has clear wimax colocated on it. Can someone pop by that site to check it out?

That pic wouldn't load

Anyone seen any LTE action in Jacksonville yet? I still haven't picked it up anywhere but after seeing all your posts I can't wait!
I haven't seen anything in Jacksonville yet. I'm on vacation this week and will be all around town so hopefully I can find something

I would like to see more money invested into the network. Build out coverage to compete with at&t and Verizon. Better device selection. More advertising to get good pr so that people know that sprint has improved. Sick of everytime I tell someone that I have sprint service they automatically say it suck

Yes its right there in that area

There's a site off of I95 and baymeadows road that's getting work done but I dont know if its a sprint site though

Electronic herpes.
It's spreading everywhere, watch out.
Rofl that's a good one. It is spreading rapidly though.

Seems like eHRPD is popping up everywhere on the sprint network. Do you guys experience and significant power drain by leaving your devices on LTE/CDMA mode all the time?

I haven't seen any active work and I'm in clay county 5 days a week. I live on the northside and drive all around the city and haven't seen anything.

Its still the same exact signal as before unless of course the tower was changed over to NV.
Sent from my C64 w/Epyx FastLoad cartridge
Yeah I know but for some reason it doesnt switch back and forth between rev a and 1x as much. Opposed to having my phone set to cdma only

I think sprint should go with network vision and not complicating it by buying another company when sprint is already cash scrapped.
-
I've noticed on my EVO LTE my data connection doesn't go to 1x or no connection when in a low signal area when connected to eHRPD vs cdma only mode. The data problems were starting to get aggravating. So I guess I'll leave my phone on LTE/cdma for the time being.

The bottom two towers you posted look like they're NV updated. I can't tell on the first one, too blurry.
You want to look for that little control box attached to the panel, that indicates an NV upgrade.
This looks like an AT&T LTE tower.

Thanks man I always leave my phone on cdma only because of my old WiMAX phones searching all day but I know the new LTE phones are better at scanning and uses less battery. I'm still paranoid from the past. I need all the battery life I can get. I'll run my phone in LTE/cdma and see what I can find around town.

What side of town were you on when you connected to ehrpd? Do you leave your phone on LTE/CDMA mode? Also does it cause any significant battery drain if left on? I leave my phone on cdma mode only because I knew it would be a while before I saw any lte.

This is the closest tower to my house. Its done with the upgrades since weeks. I saw Alcatel doing a really hard work for 2 days. Days ago I use to get almost 3mbps close to it and a really low PING and today I only got 1.45Mbps and high PINGS.And it went back to Evdo after 2 days giving ehrpd. And if you go away from it,the speeds are crazy low and really high PINGS.
This is definitely an att tower this is how all the att towers look here in jax fl

I hope in 2014 sprint will announce.... Network Vision 2 (The massive rural expansion using SMR).
That would be nice. Sprint could take some of those rural subs from att and vz and reduce roaming fees.

Maybe its from people shifting to LTE devices. Using 3g and not WiMAX
-
I thought the whole point of network vision was to consolidate the networks down to 1 to save on operation cost so that they wouldn't have to raise prices.

I was at home suspended from school and was asleep with the radio on and all I heard in my sleep was talks of a plane hitting the world trade center and I jumped up turned on the tv and saw the footage of the first plane hitting the tower and a couple minutes later they showed the second plane striking the building live.

This was yesterday. I won't be back in that area until next week. I live a couple miles from the Busch drive tower though so I can keep checking on that one.
