It would be a good selling point if all the sprint phones were able to run that. Like you say though, they don't seem to care about promoting it.

Sprint should keep promoting it. If they put ptt on they phone it will be used more than they think. I use ptt at work and it is great for very short conversations and you will know the person received the message. unlike text messages where you aren't sure if they person even received the message. Ptt will never be as big of a feature as it was but any thing will help Sprint right now.

not bad for a Saturday afternoon

Wow, those are some great speeds are you in a network vision market?

$550 plus tax.... I may just wait until the second wave of sprint lte devices to see how they perform and by that time sprints lte should be here in Jacksonville, Florida. I haven't seen anything recently that had caught my eye. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll like my phone more once its updated to ICS.Ouch, full retail? What was that? $650?
-
I'm holding my upgrade right now for my new lte device. (bought my evo 3d at full retail knowing that sprint was converting.)

I'd rather have sprint use Mac address if it gets the network from going down ever month. Having Sims would be nice though. I would probably never buy a device from if they choose Sim cards I'd probably use Ebay and craigslist more.

Maybe att feel as if hspa can hold over alot of larger markets until they can get lte to those cities. I know that here in Jacksonville Florida att is doing work on all their cell sites maybe lte is coming soon.

I choose to stick with Sprint because of the plan value and their service. Sprint is lacking with data speeds but their voice service is top notch. I've even seen some improvements in my service over the last year or so. Now that sprint is rolling out network vision and lte I'm going to stick around longer and see how the network is going to perform. Going by what Robert is posting on the roll out of network vision seems like sprint had gotten it right this time. Also I get a 25% discount for being a Pepsico employee. I've been with sprint for 7 years hopefully I can stay around for many more.....

----SID/NID 4138/65535 Verizon Wireless - Jacksonville FL Changed from: Pref Geo:Same Prio:Same RoamInd: Domestic EVDO-Enabled:No 1X Scan: PCS/425 PCS/600
Pref Geo:Same Prio:Same RoamInd: Domestic EVDO-Enabled:No 1X Scan: PCS/425 PCS/600 PCS/725
Does this mean my Verizon roaming stays the same? 1X voice and data.

Lmao, I love that commercial.

I actually ported my number to VZW because of coverage issues in a certain set of buildings where I work and my VZW service was unusable at the same location(voice, text, and data) where my sprint phone had issues. But with sprint I still receive calls and send texts but the data is unusable with sprint.
I ported back to sprint 2 days later.

Yeah sense is a little too cluttered, its a memory hog, and runs slow from time to time. Plus all the bloat ware that comes installed by the carriers. I had to root my phone too get decent battery life. Hopefully this new sense is better because I've been leaning towards Samsung for my next device.
-
Lmao, in markets where their is no native sprint coverage, after network vision are they going to deploy lte and 1x advanced in the 800 block only (rural areas) so that they can expand their footprint to compete with Verizon and att?

A guy at the sprint store lied to me once but I knew it was a lie. I was asking him something about what sprint is going to do now that Verizon was getting ready to launch 4g service. (back in October or November of 2010.) This dude told me that sprint owns all the rights to 4g and that that's the reason why they were the only ones with it and if Verizon wanted 4g they would have to pay sprint before they could launch any 4g service. I laughed in that guys face and started to cancel my lines for that guy lieing to me. Lmao

Wow, I guess I'm not surprised that they are trying to raise more money. I don't know why they don't just buy Clearwire out. It would make more business sense at this point.
Probably scared that the FCC is going to make them offload some of that spectrum that clear has.
-
Only benefit that I see is they would gain 9 million customers, more pcs spectrum, and some aws spectrum. Why not just buy the rest of clear build a strong lte network and take other carriers customers with unlimited lte. I'm happy it was denied. Sprint needs to take that 8 billion and put it into their network.

Because the LTE party don't stop (unless you're verizon and there's an outage...)

Seems like that list is growing by the day

Do you all know if prl 1115 is compatible with the evo 3d being that its prls start with 21***?

A couple short YouTube videos, multiple speed tests, streamed music for 30 mins and went to a lot of websites. And probably some other stuff can't remember what else it was I know it occurred on a work day so it couldn't have been much. If it was the weekend it would be a lot different.

By the time that network vision is done Im pretty sure that most of us will be on LTE devices and 3g speeds wont matter to us. Just those people that refuse to upgrade their phones.

Sometimes I dont understand why these companies go tiered. What about the people that was paying for unlimited data and was using much less than a GB. I know people that dont even know that a GB is. Tiered minutes can be easily tracked a person knows how many mintues they talked on the phone but data is very hard to track. I tried verizon lte out for a couple days I used a GB in a day without trying. Im sure that these carriers are making alot of money off the folks that buys unlimited and use less than GB. I used to be one of those people for years.
-
Maybe clear and light squared should form some type of deal.
-
I know at some point unlimited data will end. Hopefully sprint will grand father those who are currently with them and have the new users on tiered plans. Last week I ported my number out to Verizon because I was pissed about all the price increases and slow data speeds. I ported my number back to sprint because Verizon's voice quality in my opinion is worst than sprints. Also, the number 1 place I needed my Verizon line to have signal didn't have service at all and my sprint phone did. Sprints voice is top notch to me they just need to work on data. Sometimes I think tiered or throttled data may be a good thing to ease the congestion. I believe that sprint will get right with network vision and take customers away from the big two. Just my thoughts.
Do u think that pre pay providers should have roaming?

Also, I feel that all prepaid data should be capped and the unlimited should be for postpaid only. Don't make sense to get a contract when you can get a decent Android prepaid with unlimited data.
