It's official!!! DOJ said OK!!!
So I’m guessing Robert will be rebranding the site soon. [emoji2]- 1

The deal has been pending over a year. Supposedly doj wants to pick off 1 state. With doj backing the states supposedly don’t stand a chance.. something else is up

Good thing Sprint stayed the course with their network upgrades. They would be screwed majorly right now. -
It’s on behalf of the DOJ .. they are negotiating with the states

If that’s to be true. I just think it’s going to be delayed a little while longer. The merger is going to happen.- 1

So I take it the merger is off?

I don’t think so -
Side note I may be going to Atlanta tomorrow and if I do I will make sure to test some 5G! With actual engineering screens since media didn't cover that for the super nerds like us. The [emoji851]

Isn’t today the day that the shot clock expires on the Sprint and T-Mobile merger?
If so will a decision be made today? -
How is density?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Density is great now with the Clearwire only sites are full build. Some of my problem areas are filled in. -
That wouldn't be related to VoLTE, would it? I imagine your experience is from recent bandwidth upgrades to your area.
Jax has been 15x15 on Band 25 for about a year now. Band 41 on almost every site that I see. Clear wire only sites converted to full build sites.- 1

My data has been better since VoLTE launched in our market. I don’t have to turn of LTE while I’m at work anymore. Social media loads pretty good with only one bar of signal
Does seem like VoLTE devices get priority -
Now if only the S9/+/note9 could use it

That’s one of the things I like about Apple devices. They have the features, they work and work well. -
I’m starting to think that Sprint is doing some optimization behind the scenes. VoLTE is starting to work better day by day. I enabled WiFi calling to help me in the known low signal areas.
-
After using voLTE again. The call reliability has dropped off. Especially in fringe areas. Sometimes I’ll be driving down the road and the call would just drop. I’ve had more dropped calls in the last 2 days than I’ve had all year. Hopefully things improve from here.

After using VoLTE for a full day. It seems to work pretty good. I had some issues today at work. I turned on WiFi calling on my iPhone. That all went away. Also I didn’t have the latest iOS update which fixed some voLTE and messaging issues. I’ll give it another go tomorrow to see if things improve.

It’s crazy how much positive PR Sprint is getting for their 5G network.

I think more VoLTE is being turned on. Just had my first VoLTE call in central Kentucky.

The North Florida region was just turned on today. Loving it so far. Simultaneous voice and data has been my only issue with Sprint over the last 2 yrs. -
I think if they had more money they could go at it alone.

True. Up until like last week. I was totally against the merger. At this point it’s merge with T-Mobile or sell to Comcast, Amazon, Google, etc. -
Omg finally. Sprint has been killing it with upgrades and performance. Now they are about to merge with T-Mobile.- 1

VoLTE live in Gainesville the
Hopefully it continues Northeast to Jacksonville. -
All those bands minus band 41 cannot handle the influx of Sprint customers. T-mobile's network is already congested in some places. I am willing to bet that band 41 will be split between 4G and 5G at first with a static allocation and as the network is integrated and all the sites have to be visited they will probably implement DSS (dynamic spectrum sharing) between 4G and 5G.

On Band 41?
I’ve gotten like 40 on band 25 -
Fastest upload I’ve seen on Band 41. -
Something has to be up because I usually get B26 in my apartment complex and sometimes B25, but now I’m able to watch YouTube and scroll Instagram on B26 without much of a problem. Before I couldn’t do either while on B26.
Probably from the load being taken off that band by the traffic being moved to other bands. -
16 port equipment?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure but it’s the Big wide single panel setup. -
Looks like Sprint went around and added Tri-band panels to all the old Clear wire only sites. Giving them 800/1900/2500 in which it covers some of the problem spots.

Also with VoLTE voice traffic is priority over all traffic. So even in congested areas you should be able to make and receive calls with no issues.
