  1. That's what I figured. It'd be nice if it went faster though.
  2. Question: since the tower by my house is on an AT&T building, does that mean that it might get approval for both LTE and 3G at the same time? Or at least less time in between?
  3. The building is an AT&T building, so probably not. I'll drive by occasionally though.
  4. I dunno, I'd prefer that my devices keep off 800 unless they absolutely need to since there's way more spectrum in the higher bands.
  5. Here's some pictures from the tower near my house. I don't think they did any work yet, judging by these. The permit(s) should be approved by now though. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
  6. Yep. LTE is probably still using 1900 since there are no triband phones yet.
  7. That building is the AT&T central office around here. The equipment is most likely inside and would not be accessible or even visible from the street. But I'll definitely see if I see new panels next time I drive by there.
  8. I realized after making the above post that the MiFi was probably preferring band 25 over 41, so it's possible 2600 is on more towers than I found through my very brief visit to OC/LA. I'll have to get my MSL sometime and see if I can change the preference order.
  9. That's one's near my house (and what my phone seems to lock onto 75% of the time). I'm guessing the permits got approved since that was back in June.
  10. So I can pick up band 41 LTE in Orange County with my MiFi 500. Euclid and W. Broadway in Anaheim. I didn't detect any in Fountain Valley by the Fry's, which is definitely in the Clear WiMAX coverage area. They may have concentrated more on LA and north OC for their initial rollout. 11. It's weird to me that they still have to dig up the street. I've seen AT&T trucks around with manhole covers off and workers underground. Is that for something else?
  12. It might be possible for the highly in demand shows on Netflix, but there are way too many shows and movies on there to do it for all of them.
  13. I think they had at least a couple of free channels when I used it a long time ago.
  14. I could actually see Sprint having their Sprint TV app use LTE Broadcast.
  15. My phone picked up LTE inside work for a minute or so before dropping back to eHRPD. However, when I walked outside I could consistently pick up LTE! I work off Scranton Rd. in Sorrento Valley.
  16. Something's not right. Sprint's LTE can't do 70+mbps upload.
  17. I keep forgetting to, but maybe a trip to LA is in order this weekend.
  18. You'll have to call Sprint to get the MSL.
  19. Except in the IBEZ. There's no 800 equipment at all at most of those.
  20. I'm trying to activate mine right now over the phone. Looks like they won't let me activate it month-to-month either (my primary phone is on my mom/dad's plan and I'm trying to create my own account for the hotspot). EDIT: they won't let me activate it over the phone unless I buy another phone or hotspot. Sprint store it is. EDIT 2: the person on the phone is claiming it's not a Sprint device. EDIT 3: finally got it activated at the Sprint store. That was more hassle than I thought.
  21. At least for Canada, it's only there for legacy devices. The Canadian carriers have all switched to UMTS.
  22. There's probably less attenuation from there being no hands on the device, too.
  23. I turned mine on while charging. Looks like I can't activate from the device and will have to call Sprint.
