    Which is complete bullshit policy....but thats another rant. Im sure multiple people will walk into a store like Target or Best Buy, see "Sprint Prepaid" for $150, and have a very angry call with customer service when theyre home 30 minutes later and they cant activate it on their postpaid account.....I know my dad would do this exact same thing if I didnt spell out exactly what model to buy.

    According to the Best Buy site theyre going to sell it at a premium over the official price (280). Amazon is only selling the prepaid models right now

    You can use this to recieve text messages right? When travelling internationally, how does one make sure you can recieve and send texts and calls and not be charged international rates?

    I cant find the wifi calling thread... Does wifi calling allow one to recieve text messages for free in international locations when using a wifi connection?

    Oh, so the phone is reading the Tmpobile SIM as nothing at all and just defaulting to Sprint/Boost? Makes sense. Phone should be available to unlock for international use right?

    But he never said hes doing that....? Hes accessing the internet on his cell phone using the service he paid for. Thats not contributing to a problem.

    The modern global economy is built on this idea. You just need to be on the "bail me out" list if problems come up.

    Yup, thats why even companies raking in billions of profits still take out debt. If you can borrow at 5%, and invest and get a return at 10%, it's silly not to take advantage of what is essentially free money.

    I dont see how becoming a customer of the only company that provides service in your area is considered a problem. Do you expect him to use 56k in 2014? Sprint provides the service because they want the customers....that's how it works.

    Can you see if it works with my question above? If it allows you to get a new phone when you dont have an upgrade it is a good deal.

    Either they or I are confused. Theyre looking at individual options only. Say I have a ED1500 plan, with zero upgrades available. Can I opt into this plan and pay $5 a month ($120 total) for a new iphone? If so....it sounds too good to be true. But if that works, it that would make more sense than buying the Sharp phone for $240 off contract, which is my current plan. Can someone clarify?

    From the Sharp thread... Marcelo needs to put an end to phones being locked to prepaid or postpaid. It's ridiculous that you can't use a Sprint phone on the Sprint network.

    It seems like the launch strategy for this phone is from 2009 - Anounce and then not release for months - Lock phone to prepaid or post-paid - Anger customers with odd pricing model that rewards customer a over customer b Marcelo needs to meet with the hardware team and lay down the law.

    The sound thing is worrying... Hopefully other reviews dont find the same issue and it was a buggy model. I also want to see drop tests. I still think this is an ideal phone to update my dad's Photon Wimax.

    Yup, old one was a tiny pole, and it's a house now. When I went to find it a few months ago, I kept looking at my phone trying to figure out if I was in the right place. The house was already occupied. The damn houses pop up like weeds. Oddly enough, even though the "new" tower is closer to my moms house, she gets worse reception. When they did the move, the kitchen and living room suddenly became a roaming area... Hopefully 3G accepted means they optimized the antennas. Getting to 800 is really whats needed, so that will be nice too.
