Is there a way on the HTC EVO LTE to lock the volume so it cah't be changed when the phone is locked? I can't stand it when I change the volume without realizing it while the phone is locked. Most of the time it is to silent and I don't realize I'm getting a call.

I was in southern Missouri this weekend on a canoe trip. The only service that was available was from Alltel. When are you charged for roaming and how do you know if you will be charged for roaming? I thought must carriers in the US had agreements that allowed other carriers to use their network. A friend I was with said he was roaming in GA and got a pretty expensive bill. He is also a sprint customer. Thanks

Heard that the go live date of LTE is in July for Kansas City. FWIW: my source does not work for the company but has some good contacts.

Update: Didn't think 4G was on this morning, but after working out, I was driving home and 4G popped up at 135th and Switzer. I turned around and stopped in the St. Andrews golf parking lot. Net monitor show the network type as LTE, but I could find a pen fast enough to write all the info down, but here is the info when connected to same tower eHRPD Lat 38.8830 Lon -94.7147 acc 4(M) Alt 274(m) Opr 310 Sprint Network Type eHRPD NID 41 BID 9745 Speed Test w/ 2 bars Down UP Ping 1. 3368kbps 3876kbps 68ms 2. 3115kbps 3807kbps 64ms 3. 3855kbps 5835kbps 53ms 4. 3128kbps 3744ib0s 68ms

Well I was back in the area this afternoon, definitely must be testing, because when I got there it was 3G service. After going into the store and then getting ready to leave, it switched to 4G. Net monitor showed connections to 3 different towers at times. All in a circle around me. I will do netted next time capturing logs and speed test.

Yes, I ran a speed test, they have some tuning to do. It is like 512K download and 4mb upload. No those are not reversed. I was surprised too. I have download netmonitor so I can tell what tower I'm connected to next time.

My EVO 4G LTE really heats up when I'm watching Videos.

When I got in my truck from working out, I looked at the phone and the 4G indicator was on. It must have been on that tower only, when I drove away, it changed back to 3G. The location was 135th and neiman in Overland Park, KS.

I don't like to mess with turning it on or off to save battery life when not around a wifi network.

My new EVO 4G LTE keeps giving me a notification that it cannot update the time. This was never an issue with the older EVO 4G. The only difference I can determine is that I did not use the older EVO 4G on wifi at my house. When LTE is available, I will not use wifi for the EVO 4G LTE either. Yes it is enabled for automatic date & time, and Automatic time zone.

I received a service update on my EVO 4G LTE phone on June 1st at about noon CDT. It said PRL updated. PRL version is 25004. Did anyone else receive this update?

It has been very quite as we are approaching mid 2012. Any rumor on when Sprint will turn on first batch of LTE cities?
