Incredibly overpriced. They are in no way different from various NFC tags you can buy online for less than a buck a pop.
Yea. But I wanted them NOW.

How much do the Tectiles run?
You can get a pack of 5 for 14.99. $10.99 if you receive a corporate discount.
I dont see lots of uses for them just yet, I just have one in my car to toggle my bluetooth on and off.

Yes' date=' just like that!!! [/quote']
Sprint store in my town had it Friday after the phone was released. Case is nice. Comfortable in hand. Not too bulky. Plus you can set the phone face down on a FLAT SURFACE ONLY and wont scratch it up.
Went in there to double check if my corporate discount was still active. Rep mentioned they had accessories, couldnt resist, you know....with my 20% off and all.....also bought the universal car mount and a package of Tectiles. ;-)
And everyone one in the store had to see my phone.............

Ah yes. The folio cover with the non-branded back. I went with the body glove one. I tend to be rough with my phones.....

I'm wondering if on 7/15 if Sprint will allow access to LTE on all available towers, or just those in the first/official markets. I was under the impression that LTE would be useable on upgraded towers even before the market officially launched. Will the LTE towers be usable as they go live?
Dang it ben, now you have me wondering too.....

Yeah, I remember reading once that either FedEx or UPS had set up their drivers routing to minimize left turns in order to save time. They had found that waiting to cross traffic to make a left was costing each driver xx minutes per shift and that even though they may have to go a few blocks out of the way they would save time in the end. Not sure how the drivers liked it but I thought it was interesting.
It also saved them something like 3.1M gallons of fuel costs anually.....

What was your screen-on time?
Doing some quick math, its about 5hrs 15min. Heavy Facebook, camera, e-mail, few games, checked MLB scores quite a bit, bike ride with the phone listening to music....

What am I missing??
I deleted the picture. It was a flatbed truck with a crane that was carrying about 8 Samsung NV cabinets.

There doesn't seem to be any significant difference with this eHPRD report and your earlier tests of the GS3 peformance.
.
This was a bad assumtion on my part. I thought I read somewhere that eHRPD sessions had a higher signal strength.....

Maybe the term "half" shouldnt have been used. I now get 1 bar where I used to get 2. I get 2 where it used to fluxuate 3 and 4. In my eyes, that would make this phones antenna perform half as well as my EPIC. Even as I was typing this....my signal went anywhere from no service to 3 bars.
What made me say that its "about the same" today, is because I still have the same slow speeds and inconsistant signal that I have always had inside my work.
Like I said...I cant wait to see what everyone else sees.

One day of testing is what was reported and I wasnt connected to eHRPD. I dont know if thats the difference or not. Im going to assume it is.
I kook forward to reading anyone elses results.....

Do you work in a lead lined building? That's a weak signal for being relatively close.

Home Depot.....
My OG EPIC was about the same.....maybe one bar better.
This is standing outside at the same location....

I'm very impressed with this phone's camera. Below is a video I shot today. The pictures that come with it where taken with the built in feature allowing you to take pictures while recording video. Don't know what its going to default to, but you can watch in 1080p.

Is anyone else having problems with S-voice? I can't get my s-voice to respond to what I am saying.
This is a problem across the board. S-voice does not work as advertised.

It might just be the EVO LTE because in my area I get speeds like that too but I'm the only one experiencing them. All of my friends with other phones still have terrible speeds while my pages are loading as if on WiFi. We've even run a speed test and my EVO gets higher speeds and lower latency.
The speed of the phone helps a lot. Ive noticed that from going to the OG Epic to GSIII....but those speeds indicate a good backbone and minimal network saturation. Ive received 2.5mbp down and 1mbp up on a 3G tower in the country with a new backhaul and probably nobody connected to the tower.
