Well that just sucks! I would love to have these speeds out here in DeKalb. I wonder how long till work gets underway. For now since i have Wi-Fi at home' date=' my main hope is that the west loop and the Wheaton area get hooked up soon so my train ride gets reasonably less crappy without needing to drink![/quote']
Yea. Tell me about it. I work at the corner of Geneva and Schmale.......I get 4G everywhere on 38 and 64 starting in Elburn.....but nothing at work.... :-(

Now if Rockford and Chicagoland start merging to get LTE working around NIU' date=' I'd be a very happy man![/quote']
I live in DeKalb. They havent even installed backhaul yet.... :-(

I understand people hate wiping their phone everytime.....but a fresh install with a wipe is always a better idea. Just do a backup before you start tinkering.

but' date=' does flashing JB from recovery require a wipe? I'm not rooted, so I don't have the TB option.
If I can just hold on for a few more weeks, I feel the JB RUU will be released and it won't require a full wipe.
(but I could be wrong)
I will most likely root after JB for the wifi tether alone for my HP touchpad tablet on future camping trips.[/quote']
Does require a full wipe.

Long time lurker... first time poster. Wanted to say that 4G LTE is live in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Rode the red line from Wilson to Fullerton and had connectivity throughout. Of course' date=' once I went underground, it switched back to 3G.
[/quote']
Ill take underground 3G any day! ;-)

I'm running LIH. Odin'd ClockworkMod Recovery and then installed the update.zip. Did not have to root' date=' per se.[/quote']
Where can I find the update zip? I have only been able to find the LIH full.

Are you looking at the modem? Full LIH is over 700. There is also a modem file for each.

Probably where I was getting confused. Thanks.

There is an LIF and an LIH build. Files are only 20MB too.....is that even right..?

I was asking because there's a jelly bean leak.
Sent from Galaxy S3 with Jelly Bean
Ive been looking for it.....but I dont know what the build number is. I dont want to download a bad ROM.

It was strange' date=' my phone said there was a system update this morning, and after i installed it I connected to 4G. Anyone else have an update today?[/quote']
I received something like this in the form of a text message last night.....

I hear people say that' date=' but I have never exceeded 21Mbps on Verizon, and mostly experience between 4-8Mbps download in Northern New Mexico on Verizon LTE. I have both a VZW work phone and a personal VZW hotspot.

If Sprint does 4-8Mbps as the worst speeds, I will be very happy. I dont expect to see 20+Mbps everytime....

Prl changes will only help with roaming. Hence the name.

These guys have been parked here for 2 weeks now. I've seen a couple trucks there too and some guys out working' date=' but never had the chance to be able to stop and chat.
(below you'll see my lame attempt at trying to snap a pic while driving with overcast skies)

I wouldnt doubt theyre leaving their trailers there while they are working in the "area". This is just my guess though.

Any fix or ideas for 4g connectivity issues? I get it that the phone will default to 3g if it's a better signal' date=' but I haven't seen 4g unless I force it. I can force lte at my house and get AMAZING speeds
But if I flip back to normal it will never connect to lte.

Have you tried updating your PRL..??

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not... But yeah, a lot of the sensorly data is incorrect because 4G gets turned on and off.
Not sarcastic. I work at the corner of Geneva and Schmale. I don't even think that NV upgrades have been completed in that area.

Really now?
West burbs'.
But yes' date=' I'm jealous of the other burbs too! Waiting for the Winfield / Wheaton cluster to fill in is extremely frustrating.[/quote']
Its awful. There is a HUUUGE square of dead 4G space in Sensorly....lol awful!

This is around where I had it last night also. I was at the ice arena, but i had signal all the way west on Lincoln HWY until past elburn.
I picked LTE up in Maple Park on RT 38 on my way home from work today. I saw they installed a new line of radios on the tower at the corner of County Line Rd and RT 38.
EDIT: tower isn't on the map must not be Sprint.
