The G2 is still a solid and relevant phone... I'd hold out G4 since it pry wont be too much longer. But, if you're into the innovative type devices (which it appears you are if you're considering the Edge), check out the G Flex 2--Amazing specs! But... That's just one thought.

In my opinion it basically looks exactly like the m8. With the m7 to the m8 there was way more that changed but from the m8 to the m9 hardly anything has changed. Many are also speculating that this is just a fake m8 case so they don't have the real look of the m9 leaked. HTC did do something similar with the m7 before that got released. Buf if this is the final design then I really hope sense 7 and that new camera module turns out to be beast, if not then I may be getting something else other than htc this year. I wonder if there is anything to the m9 plus rumor?
Good question. Although they've had a couple flagships I've not been impressed with, I've been an HTC fan for years and they are always high on my list of phones to consider. But based on what I'm seeing, I will look closely at the LG G4. I think LG has made the biggest strides the last couple years... I hope they don't run out of gas. Unfortunately, I think Samsung has gotten pretty stale in their last couple renditions. As Ascertion mentioned, a high end Sony device would be sweet to throw in this years Sprint lineup.

Looks like the same device pictured in a couple of the above links but, from a different angle. Looks pretty damn good to me in these photos.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but when they introduced the family share pack discounts no longer worked on the data portion, correct????
if so it looks like they changed that. I just got an email about the family share pack that said i could get the 20 gig one for $82/mo after my 18% discount.....
My discount is 23% on mine and has been since day 1 on my family share plan at 20gb.
My discount has been on since I signed up in Dec 14.

I wonder why. Is it something technical about the LG G2 that prevents wifi calling to be added or does Sprint think the device is "too old" to even care about wifi calling?
Good question. And, if its too old to be a wifi calling candidate, will it even get Lollipop?
-
If you are out of the country, and connected to a wifi network, can you use Sprint wifi calling to make and receive calls back to the US?

Thats all nice and all but loyalty isnt fair game anymore, they took away that program they USED to have for customers (I think over 10 years for being a customer).
Yup, that went away when the iPhone came on board.

Sorry if already posted, but here is a pretty good deal for current Sprint customers looking to upgrade, if you're OK with lease: Just $5 per month Galaxy S 5 and iPhone 6/6+.

Are they no longer offering the double your data promotion on the the Family Share Pack? I know I'm getting 40GB for 100 bucks, plus $15 per phone line and $10 per tablet (tethering inc.).
-
Cool deal! But, Since the 40 GB Share pack is costing me less than 155 bucks a month (plus I get a good discount due to my employer), I will stay with what I've got... Especially since it includes the Mobile Hotspot on all devices. I personally think I'm getting a steal since it includes 3 phones and a tablet.

I don't know how, why, or who was responsible but I got picked by ZTE to get a LivePro. I don't usually sign up for giveaways and I don't recall doing it but I must have and got picked. I actually thought it was a scam to be honest when I read the email. lol But after researching the company doing the promotion and the sender of the email it was all legit. woo hoo. So hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be part of the group of LivePro users in here.
TS out
Wow.. Nice! Merry Christmas!

I'm really looking forward to the day Sprint add's free tethering to their plans, 5GB would be perfect.
Tethering is the main reason I switched from Everything Data to the new Data Share Pack. 40GB, 3 phones with tethering, and a tablet. Plus I'm saving money in the process. Love the deal!

I just want Google Fiber at my house.. then my life will be complete.

Sprint Premier was Great but, you can thank Apple's excessive pricing plan for killing that.It would be even sweeter if Sprint dug deeper in the crates, and threw in the old Sprint Premier Program incentives on top of this for us on the ED Plan. I sure missed that!

XXX and YYY really dropped the ball. This is probably the worst phone launch in history.
Famous words of every major phone launch.

(except T-mobile since I have never even tried them).
I can't speak for the rest of your post but, I don't doubt you. I can say, T-Mo has the worst voice/sound quality I've ever experienced. My sister is an iPhone 5s user and, talking to her on T-Mo via my Sprint phone (from PHX to SFO) is horrid. T-Mo has the worst call quality I've ever experienced. Be glad you haven't tried them.

I have that same condition, and no known cure.

I'm gonna get one too! Talk about a steal! Especially if you are someone who still doesn't have a tri-band device, it seems almost silly not to pick this thing up. It's gotta be the most bang for the buck for 2014.

Assuming you're not interested in the gaming aspect of this, are there really any advantages to this over the Chromecast. Speaking of which, I saw a new one passed through the FCC but, don't know of any differences between the 2013 model.

Sprint is not overburdened with MVNO's. They should keep the open nature of their MVNO program. I think it's a smart move. And investors love it when companies make money, so therefore, I think it's an awesome option for Sprint to have. My plans to start my own MVNO are still in the works, however, funding is my only problem.

I remember you saying you plan on starting an MVNO via Sprint some time ago; I am still looking forward to that! Consider me a customer! How is your plan progressing?
-
I know Sprint wants the money but Sprint has way too many MVNOs lol (I think at least).
I totally see your point but, NV (at full build out) can handle it with ease. I say, let Sprint make some easy money at someone else's expense; perhaps, to fund a future spectrum purchase. Plus, shareholders will love this, thus boosting Sprint's overall value.

Looks like a Lebron James theatrical.

So does it mean that Sprint is not going 2 carry it?
Why do you think Sprint will not carry it?

The hard rubber outside has really been nice for the 2 or so times I've dropped it. The built in screen protector is not scratch resistant, but that's expected. Overall, I like it, but I want a case with a kickstand for watching movies.

I hear that! Gotta miss the EVO for those features (and many more)!

How much is your Sprint bill every month?

I've got 3 phones and 1 tablet on my account. My Family Data Share Pack includes unlimited talk, text, and 40 GB of data with tethering included. I pay less than $155. Considering Sprint's network improvements, It's a steal in my opinion.
