  1. Is that place any good? They're building one in my city. I've never eaten at Five Guys. But everyone is going nuts about how good it is.

Its pretty good. I wouldn't say the greatest but, for a chain, their Burgers are pretty good. And if you like thick, fresh fires, they're pretty good, too. As they say, "There's nothing better than Five Guys in your mouth." (Sorry, I had to.)

  2. Yes, S4GRU supports SETIH -- the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Hopefully -- because there is definitely no intelligence on this staff.

    ;)

Speak of the devil... Here's one of those clowns now!   ;)

  3. Thank you for all you do Setih. :tu:  S4GRU really does have outstanding mods, So I extend this appreciation to each and every one of you, including those two clowns who seem to be running the show.  ;)  Thanks Guys!

  4. I really wish Sprint only used the Spark logo for Band 41 high speed LTE. However, on Triband devices (except the Nexus 5) it shows the Spark logo anytime you are connected to LTE. Regardless of band or type.

I agree with that.  I'm hoping (wishful thinking) that when Spark is more widespread, Sprint will push a software updated that just just that.  *fingers crossed*

I'm just glad that eCSFB/CSFB was working on my trip to Branson, Mo.  I was worried that my M8 would only be 3G but was surprised that I was able to get LTE in so many small towns along the way.

My parents just got back from Branson (mini vacation) and, although they aren't into this much at all, they said service was really good while they were there. :tu:   That's good to hear as, I'd imagine, the terrain in Branson would be a challenge for cell phone coverage.

  5. I was without internet for about a week, as I moved and was in the process of getting cable installed.  I activated the Hot Spot feature on my phone to tie me over.  I go the cheapest plan ($20?). I called and deactivated it several days later, once my cable internet was installed at my new home.  I think I used about 1.7GB of LTE data over that week via my phones Hot Spot.  Service was great and price was unbeatable.  And, the price was pro rated. I didn't run any e-penis tests but, it was just as good as the 25/5 my cable ISP ended up installing. And to think, this was in a market not yet launched by Sprint.  I couldn't have been more happy.

  6. So the last time I heard about this it was on the Evo line of phones where they had that horrible Telenav GPS app. If I recall the Sprint Navigation premium feature part of the app (normally $4.99) was free on the simply everything plans. I wonder if you changed your plan and now are seeing charges for something that was rolled into the service before?

Edit: found a thread on the Sprint forums so I know I am not crazy https://community.sprint.com/baw/message/308182

Actually, just visiting that website is grounds for a diagnosis of Crazy. ;)

  7. Still waiting for increased call quality on AT&T. My voice connections sound circa 2003.

I don't doubt ATT is pretty bad but, I would still put my money on T-Mobile having the worst voice quality of all carriers.  My sister has an iPhone 5S on T-Mobile and I'm constantly having to ask her to repeat herself because the quality is so poor.  I'm not really all that picky when it comes to voice quality in rearguards to a telephone call but, T-Mobil is just hideous.

Since she has a new, high end phone, she's the only person I know on T-Mo, and the only person I have this problem with, I am led to believe the only explanation is T-Mobile's shoddy network.

On another note, My brother and I are both are on Sprint, and the HD voice is simply amazing!

  8. There are probably many of you who are still active that remember Roberts chat sessions from when S4GRU was still in its infancy. Those sessions were some of my favorite times at S4GRU!  Great info and a LOT of fun!! In the early days, there were only a few people that would "show up." Then, it got so popular that IPBoard couldn't handle all those who desired to attend in one chat room/lounge.  As I've posted in another thread, these were some of my best S4GRU memories.  I'd love to see another similar scheduled "meeting" where insiders/staff post the latest Sprint news/updates that can be made semi-public and discussed.  :tu:

  9. I'd like to see them introduce some new perk to having Framily, like including the $15/mo international talk and text plan into our Framily service.

Although I am always a bargain hunter, I think the price of a maxed out Framily plan is as cheap as they should go. It's practically as steal as it is.

  10. Sixty bucks for all the Premiere Sponsor maps and insider info is definitely a steal.  (No need for hypnosis!)  Most that are truly interested in what Sprint is doing would probably consider it a bargain at full price but, at nearly half off, its a no-brainer, which is probably why so many Premier Sponsors continue to donate even more after reaching the Premier Sponsorship level.

Hopefully the sources continue to provide information for NV 2.0!

Also, not to mention, this site isn't littered with advertisements and popups that are such a nuisance on every other site/forum.

  11. Yep. I'm really starting to believe my theory that Sprint is going to pull off the biggest launch yet with Vegas having Band 41 live in many areas before launching the Vegas Market.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Wouldn't it be cool if Vegas went straight from 3G to Spark?  :tu:

  12. You will know when you hear it, there is no question. The call sounds entirely different. It's like comparing the audio quality of an AM radio broadcast and a CD.

    -Mike

Yes Sir, well said.  I called my brother last night (both of us in the PHX market, I on the LGOG and him on the SGS4), the sound quality is almost hard to believe.  We talk fairly frequently, 2 or 3x a week, and the difference was amazing.  I thought it might be overrated but, Sprint hit a home run with this HD voice feature. :tu:

  13. Hey Josh,

Do you know what frequencies they support?  I'm just curious if even the "meh" type phones will be tri-band from here on out.

    Thanks!

Edit:  Looks like they may be tri-band.  Can't blame em for that!  :tu:
