The key word is "may" reduce speeds to 1mbps
That rumor has been around for a while but, its existence has not been made evident. If I were you, I wouldn't be so sure it even exits. Do you have any evidence of its existence or, are you just repeating what we've already heard?

Yea, I believe all of Sprint's high end smart phones will be tri-band from here on out. The Note seems to be the last one that did not make the cut. I was just thinking, in your market (DFW), tri-band support will progress relatively fast. That's just something I wouldn't want to miss out on.
-
Would you really purchase a device that does not support tri-band LTE at this stage in the game?

Crazy thing, schools been out since the 15th of December. It starts again on the 21st.

Yeah, I know. Haven't had the time, and school is starting soon, so I better get cracking on it.

Just giving you a hard time, buddy. School first. No hard feelings.

As you can see from my signature, I'm using my iPhone as my primary phone.

I see. Not a surprise, from you. Enjoy!

In regards to the insurance, one thing to consider is coverage. Many plans do not include lost/stolen phones (only damaged). What a joke! The nice thing about Sprint/Assurion coverage is that anything and everything is covered.

I have all but ended my experiment early.

What does that mean?

They have their own private B41 network at GooglePlex as well.
Wow. Guess I should have known. Google has everything... And more.

Madfelon wants to abuse Sprint "unlimited" data. He has problems.

I believe the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different outcome.

Believe me, Google cares. They want Band 41 on their device. Otherwise, they could have skipped the Band all together.

Good point. Not necessarily a direct correlation but, I noticed that the two Sprint towers at GooglePlex just got band 41 upgrades in your recent update in the Premier Sponsor section.

btw I want Samuel L Jackson to be the new spokesperson for Sprint and explain these plans for the common folk like he does with Capital One, but with a bit more aggression and slip in a curse word or two.

You got a once max?
Yes, Sir. A little on the big side for me as my daily driver but, its an awesome phone and will work great and serve its purpose well for one of my other lines.

I picked up a white one yesterday.

I probably could do it. It'll just take a few days.

Perfect timing, Josh! Because, when I'm viewing the site on New Years Eve, my vision may be a little worse than it is now.

Finally got the g2. I'm going to activate it once they release the sprint spark software update
Why wait?

We'll be relocating to the Phoenix area next month and we are giving Maricopa, AZ a strong look. I noticed only two towers (one to the east, one to the west) of Maricopa and both were 3G only. How is the signal down that way? Will those towers get the LTE upgrade?
Somewhere near 99.9% of Sprints sites will get LTE, so the likelihood of those sites in/near Maricopa being upgraded to LTE is almost a guarantee. I cannot speak for coverage there though, but 800MHZ CDMA and LTE upgrades are in full swing now, and that is only going to further improve coverage and capacity.

Great info.. Thanks, TS!

Oh, then you need the HTC One IMAX.
AJ
lol. But, Seriously, man.. I'm scrambling here!

Got the mega yesterday and I really like it. Only wish I can root it but eh in time I'm sure there will be a way.

Hey Buddy,
I am looking for a last minute Christmas gift and this phone is on the top of my list. I am between this and the HTC One Max. I was hoping you might be able to give me a more detailed impression after a few days of use. I need the biggest screen possible, which is why I am considering these 2 devices. My local Sprint store is open till 5 on Christmas Eve so, that's my deadline. lol Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

OP: I don't think I'd go with a non-triband phone at this point in Sprints NV deployment. I'd bet if you had sponsorship at S4GRU, particularly Premier Sponsorship, you would reconsider writing off the importance of a tri-band device and the advantages they bring for network connectivity and usability. And, the sponsor maps Robert has produced show just how fast things are progressing as of late. It is really quite impressive. I would think most sponsors here would agree. Then again, maybe SVLTE really is requirement for you, though.

Was January ever specifically stated? I thought it "early 2014," or something to that effect.
