  1. Yea, I believe all of Sprint's high end smart phones will be tri-band from here on out. The Note seems to be the last one that did not make the cut. I was just thinking, in your market (DFW), tri-band support will progress relatively fast. That's just something I wouldn't want to miss out on.

  2. In regards to the insurance, one thing to consider is coverage.  Many plans do not include lost/stolen phones (only damaged). What a joke! The nice thing about Sprint/Assurion coverage is that anything and everything is covered.

  3. We'll be relocating to the Phoenix area next month and we are giving Maricopa, AZ a strong look.  I noticed only two towers (one to the east, one to the west) of Maricopa and both were 3G only.  How is the signal down that way?  Will those towers get the LTE upgrade?

Somewhere near 99.9% of Sprints sites will get LTE, so the likelihood of those sites in/near Maricopa being upgraded to LTE is almost a guarantee. I cannot speak for coverage there though, but 800MHZ CDMA and LTE upgrades are in full swing now, and that is only going to further improve coverage and capacity.

  4. Got the mega yesterday and I really like it. Only wish I can root it but eh in time I'm sure there will be a way.

    Hey Buddy,

I am looking for a last minute Christmas gift and this phone is on the top of my list. I am between this and the HTC One Max.  I was hoping you might be able to give me a more detailed impression after a few days of use.  I need the biggest screen possible, which is why I am considering these 2 devices. My local Sprint store is open till 5 on Christmas Eve so, that's my deadline. lol Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  5. OP: I don't think I'd go with a non-triband phone at this point in Sprints NV deployment.  I'd bet if you had sponsorship at S4GRU, particularly Premier Sponsorship, you would reconsider writing off the importance of a tri-band device and the advantages they bring for network connectivity and usability.  And, the sponsor maps Robert has produced show just how fast things are progressing as of late. It is really quite impressive.  I would think most sponsors here would agree.  Then again, maybe SVLTE really is requirement for you, though.
