Is it just a one time shot of 200 or, do they hook you up with 200 megs a month?

Good points. However, just the speculation about Bieber anything now makes me against the merger.

What's a bieber?

Reopening this old thread of mine. Was reading that Sprint now may limit video streaming to 1mbps and I read on some other forums that they have always been doing this. It certainly seems that way based on my experiences.
I've never experienced such a thing.

Is it pretty easy to get a sim at a corporate store now? Just ordered my nexus.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
If not, I contacted Sprint Worldwide Chat and they shipped me a sim card right away, for free, no questions asked. I contacted them last Wed, and they got it to me today for free--No shipping charge either (also, they do have a 12 dollar overnight shipping option).
Edit: Here is the link to chat: http://sprintworldwide.custhelp.com/app/chat/chat_launch

I've been a sprint customer for ten years and I've never tried Sprint TV. Sounds like it could have been my loss. I never liked that it required a network connection.
By network connection, do you mean native Sprint 3G/4G connection? If so, that is not true. Sprint has allowed access to SprintTV via WiFi for quite sometime.

Gosh the pure profit they are making... Someone could make a living just installing screen protectors for people lol.
I'm not sure if he is still providing this service but, at one time, our S4GRU Official FCC OET Reporter (Macinjosh) had a side business making screen protectors. His rates were affordable. I'm not sure if he still operates this business but, you may want to check with him for screen protectors.

Does anyone know if this is what Sprint refers to as a "World Phone?" I'm just wondering if it could be used in Mexico. Thanks!

So it's been a while, here's an update. Following this post, there was a crew working diligently (from before 8am to after 5pm) for the following week and a half everyday. They installed new antennas and were up on the cherry picker most the time. This week, they have been gone, but there is no mention on the sponsor website anything has happened, I have no 4G coverage... From the look of the tower, there are 4G antennas... Could they be waiting for backhaul or what might be going on? I can't find any activity happening anymore everyday there.
Thanks for the update. After the crews install the new equipment, somebody has to come by and inspect/accept the site before it is active for the end user. Sometimes that happens fast, sometimes that happens slow. And, yes, backhaul may still need to be installed. Has the legacy equipment been taken down?

I guess when your shares are worth over a thousand bucks a pop, you can splurge on some lavish party venues and showrooms.

Hey guys I just thought of something. How do you think the hotspot will work since the Nexus 5 straight from Google will not have the Sprint hotspot app. Do you think it will work similar to the nexus 4 on T-Mobile without the hotspot add on and need to add the profile change thingy in chrome to mask it?
If this question is in appropriate please delete the post.
I don't know, but I hope people don't/can't circumvent the hotspot feature without activating it ethically.

I'm just glad Sprint worked this out with Google (and they didn't let VZW ruin it for CDMA/Sprint). Huge high five to Sprint and Google on this one! It's even tri-band! Exciting stuff going on here at S4GRU right now! It's awesome to have the N5 both subsidised and available via Google Play.

It pains me to have 100Mbps internet service at home, but I have no devices that can support those speeds via WiFi. I have to plug in to get speeds above 35Mbps or so.
Robert
Gotchya. I was mostly being funny though (or, trying to anyway).

Question to those we pre-ordered the G2 online: were you able to retain your old (pre-My-Way) plans?
No changes were made to my plan when I pre-ordered the G2.
-
Now I need to upgrade my home WiFi, so I can get that 100Mbps speeds on my new Nexus 5. Yeehaw!
Robert
No, Sir. Sprint Spark, though may be capable of producing those speeds, is not the same as wifi.

I'm trying to think of where the Phone was when he got shot. In his shirt pocket?
"Winter Garden Police said in an email that a clerk had just minor injuries after a robber fired a bullet at his abdomen. Police say his cellphone stopped it" http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/fla-police-cellphone-stops-bullet-fired-by-robber
Sounds like abdominal area. Pry had a jacket or a hoodie, or something similar with front pockets.

Now I don't understand the logic behind this being a good price. If you buy it for $350 off contract, you're still paying the same amount as if someone was on contract and paid less than $200 for the initial upgrade. Sure, you're locked into contract but I don't plan on leaving Sprint anytime soon.
Well, the poster I replied to said he was quite a ways off from an upgrade. If he wanted a new, high end device, he'd have to pay the full, off contract price, which is typically well north of 500, or even 600 bucks. All I was saying is that people in that situation could now get a new, high end device that supports Sprint's tri-band LTE (and has the bonus of being pure Android) for 350. I don't think its a bad deal.
-
Dang, you just fling the cheddar around like it's nothing!
LOL! No, definitely not case here. I just have a few hobbies, and make cuts in other parts of my budget to support those hobbies. Gotta keep my sanity somehow, and that's how I do it. In all seriousness though, 350 for that phone is such a good deal, especially considering some of the phones are going for well north of that on contract. It's perfect for someone far from an upgrade that needs/wants a new device, and that was the point I was trying to make.
-
You're going to spend $350 on a phone that is "just for fun"?
Yes.

That's awesome but I'm not eligible for an upgrade until June -_-
If the Sprint's Nexus 5 is available through the Play Store, waiting for upgrades will be a thing of the past, for most folks. Cant beat that price, especially for a high end tri-band phone. If its available from the Play Store, I plan on getting one along with my G2 just for fun.
-
oh god... choices choices choices.. LG G2, Nexus 5, or S4T...
If the Sprint Nexus 5 is sold through the Play Store at Google's prices, I plan to have 2 out of the 3. G2 and Nexus 5 for me!

We know that all carriers have to put their logo on the phones they are selling. We have a few insiders that work at BestBuy that has actually held the phone. Where is the placement of the Sprint logos? How big are the logos?
VZW is the worst with that. Sprint typically is the best about not tattooing their phones with logo's. My Sprint LG Optimus G has no carrier branding on the hardware at all.

Please do not go through this again. We have more than enough proof that it is triband LTE. See link below for Technical Specs for Data Transmission. Happy now?
could be a silly man?

The best thing to do would be to become a sponsor and check the maps for upgraded towers that surround your residence.
