  1. I wish my beat extended into Dane County but alas... I only go as far west as Waukesha.
  2. Yeah. I didn't have a chance to check the actual map while I was on the road. But I was able to go back, park and work on some paperwork for a little while and nothing came up. I suspect it was just my phone freaking out a little from being cycled in and out of airplane mode by the LTE Discovery app. I'll try to look for permits at that address. Join the club. It's like being teased in a seductive fashion to see areas west of us getting the goods and Milwaukee is being treated like the bastard red-headed step child.
  3. There's a tower within about 2 or 3 blocks. If you see a state owned patrol vehicle around there. Say hello. I'll be holding my phone up like Simba in the Lion King. EDITED TO ADD: As of 2310 on 15 MAY 2013, there is no LTE signal that I'm picking up at this location. It may have been a blip on my phone but not an actual signal as I was using the LTE Discovery app for several hours while on my shift.
  4. I'm happy to report that there was a very, very short blip of LTE near Southridge Mall (76th and Layton Ave). Can't say it was much of anything... I was stopped at a light reading a quick text and ready to hit the expressway. I have to be back there tomorrow so I'll run Sensorly to try and nab it while I get a cone from Kopp's.

  6. No. I wish. The 1x signal (or any signal from that particular site for that matter) was VERY good up until late February or early March. It's now very very sketchy at best. I need the Airave to deal with capacity issues that happens at that site which generally last from about 1500 till about 0200 on a daily basis.
  7. You don't have a wifi router? Dude... They're cheap. You should go get one.
  8. It's a pain in the dear rear.

  10. I normally don't hear many rumors about phones as I do my own research then buy it without a lot of questions. What I do hear (and have corrected a sales associate of) is that Milwaukee's LTE deployment is complete when it wasn't even started. This was last Fall.
  11. I had the buzzing with the camera, multiple reboots after a fresh power up, random multiple reboots WITHOUT powering up, freezes and general wonky behavior. I did a factory reset and it cleared all that up. Hopefully, it'll do the same for you.
  12. I'm not and I never was concerned. I know I would never get great speeds on EV-DO. I knew wifi would always be my data source of choice since I have wideband internet service. I think the confusion stemmed from an earlier comment by Rukin1, which I replied to and it snowballed from there. Granted I'm not an expert in any way about how the Airave works. I just know it works for me in my home as I have spotty voice/text service at best without it. I simply offered some advice based on my experience with the device (wait a while, the Airave should settle down & become reliable again). That, of course, brought on some side-bar issues which lead us to here.
