You'd think having a thousand different models wouldn't create a software update nightmare for them. :D But honestly, I bet they spend very little time on updates for their low-end models. I wonder how many never even get a single update..

thats why lot of samsung users switch to apple! at least apple releases updates on time!

  2. So another week down still no update, it's really sad a company the size of Samsung can't push out an update. One update was released before the offical launch date and none since. Seriously does not add up, to the point that when my lease is up I'll no longer be using a Samsung phone.

Seems like Samsung has problems updating their phones

On a normal shared plan you can put anyone you want on it but if you do and they fail to pay then you are responsible for the whole bill, so only a limited number of people would risk this.

But for FRAMILY you could have anyone on your plan to help reduce costs and not be responsible to pay the whole bill.  You could put complete strangers on your plan and never had to worry.  So many people were doing this that Sprint was losing more money then they had imagined.  So they said "it was too confusing for people"

Even the sales people at the Sprint stores themselves were putting complete starngers together to help you save.

In a nutshell it worked TOO well and Sprint lost money.

But of course company execs would never be dishonest,  right?

Exactly they were being dishonest as well. So the whole thing from what you told me was a serious flop.

Still way better in my experiences than you-know-who.  Both at home and work.  (Work at a large Auto Company and across the street form a national tourist attraction).   Wrote many letters and emails to those involved at the former provider.  They didn't care.    Then you compound the issue with very little low band and bingo.

Well they need low band as well. Just high band and mid band won't do them any good. They need site density very badly where I live and with Sprint having little to no low-band here and horrible site then say just like T-Mobile and AT&T there's a lot of work to be done. But I can definitely say that General LTE coverage on the highway through my town has improved along with the speeds. But the quality and density of the network needs to be really worked upon.

The reason that neither Verizon nor AT&T are worried about this merger is that that even after the merger Verizon mostly and A&T to some degree are going to have twice as many postpaid subscribers as the New T-Mobile. Verizon's markings are still going to be fat and so will AT&T's. It will take a year to get the merger approved then about three years to fully integrate the two companies. Meanwhile the two behemoths will do everything in their power to poach postpaid subs from the new T-Mobile.it is imperative that the resulting company execute on all cylinders. from network integration and expansion to marketing to billing system integration.

I honestly don't see 5th generation Wireless technology replacing cable or Fiber Optic connections for a very long time. The technology is still in its infancy and I don't believe that anytime soon 5G will take away many if any subscribers from the current wire Technologies

Dan, they have holes where I live and when they don't, the upload speed is extremely slow even on LTE Band 41... Like 1x speeds...   The only hope is that TMob will "fix" this when and if the day comes.

After 20 years, I dropped Sprint and ported my number Monday.   Service and speeds are so much better and way more stable where I am now.  No regrets.

Well another thing that works against even T-Mobile and even Sprint and to a certain extent AT&T is site density it's absolutely horrible here because of the not in my backyard people

I don't mind seeing a Verizon version of Cricket/MetroPCS/Boost.  An option for tethering would also be nice.

I highly doubt Verizon would ever employ tethering for a mnvo

Not sure how far back they are but I don’t expect them to slow down “5G Market Announcements” (Massive Mimo rollouts) since it benefits both Sprint and New T-Mobile’s future.

sprint still has serios lte holes where i live...triband lte roll out is only half done...not even close to complete in my town..go off the main high way and lte service is a joke....but on the main road LTE service is pretty good...

Yikes. I can tell tell the difference between 1080p and 720p on my phone so there is no way I believe you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 480p. For what it's worth the iPhone 7 has a 1,334 x 750 display so you can't see better resolution than 720p on that screen.

On my Galaxy phone which is the S9 Plus. But the quality at 480p compared to 1080p is like jumping back to the 1990s and early 2000s.

Well what about the surrounding areas? Like central Jersey which is a part of New York City? And the LTE has gotten quicker here...but what about filling in the LTE gaps here.... serious work still needs to be done with The LTE service Gaps. But overall network quality has improved along the main highway. So far so good...just improve the coverage off the main highway and I ll jump back on Sprint.

What ISP you have? Didn't know they offering more than 1Gbps  (100 Megabyte) speeds for home ISP.  600MB/s is fast.  We have 10Gbps servers maybe 10Gbps connections will be the new norm for home ISP.  I have a 300Mbps (megabits) internet and Cox will be offering 1Gbps soon.

Not sure that is even possible to push 600MB/s (6Gbps) on a home Wi-Fi wireless.  It is 600Mbps (megabits)?

I have Comcast. Comcast has one gigabit internet service.

  12. It is terrible! Every time they come out with a new affordable consumer UDP, they shoot it down in a few months and put a cap on it. I am contracted into two priority lines with all band access, not letting those go.

Well nonetheless though widespread access will take a very long time to roll out and get the networks up to par and actually give unlimited data access at a very controlled and reasonable price.

Okay well the problem I have is that it's all promises but more than half of that never comes to fruition. Obviously we need fixed Broadband access. But it's still in its infancy. I agree capacity and coverage reliability consistency and overall quality is needed. But it's starting to sound more likes the grounds of promises that who knows they'll be delivered upon. I want to see up front definitive proof that they can cover all their bases including the coverage part. I'm very skeptical at this point of what can be done and I have from past experiences don't believe it companies promises unless I see actual results right in front of my face. So first thing is this whole thing has to be approved obviously. After that if the merger is approved then it's time for them to put their money where their mouth is. It will be time for them to put up or shut up.

Im getting a magic box, not my decision I live with my sister and fiancee but they both have iPhones and get horrible service both are iPhone 8's. They're lucky to get two bars of LTE but here I am on B25 with 5 bars or B41 4 bars and no complaints whatsoever. HPUE is the determining factor I imagine they're fed up while I have no complaints lol, I get great service. And in my experience iPhones have never had great signal strength even when I had them, they swear now no more iPhones after this point lol. But I digress I'll take a magic box for a perfect experience everytime lol even though we have a 300 Xfinity home internet at home but it's been flakey lately I find myself just using LTE at this point, 60-100Mbps is more than usable lol.

I have gigabit Xfinity Internet. Sprint works great but I get ludicrous speed on my Wi-Fi.
