i agree to a small extent with this article....the justice department could decide to sue them to try to stop merger....also remember the beef the CEO of John ledger and Donald trump had for a short while? well that could have a effect to on the merger now that donald trump is in power.

AT&T and Time Warner got the green light. Let’s open the flood gates officially to buy up whoever. This ruling today gives and shows there little to no reason why Tmo and Sprint cannot marry.

I'm actually in agreement with you. Because T-Mobile obviously has the larger Network for the most part and the two merging could definitely affect roaming agreements as far as I see.I wonder if they will talk to actual smaller wireless companies that Sprint in particular roams on about the effect that the merger on them.

Something tells me that one of the merger conditions will be that the pricing structure for MVNO be frozen at the current levels for let's say 3-4years. I also think that they will probably have another condition relating to coverage and 5G deployment targets within 3-4 years.

What about the coastal highway? Has there been any improvement since then?

Well I would say stun gun is the way to go. Or maybe a pocket knife.
Well I own a police grade stun gun. Knifes are not legal to carry in New Jersey

I think everyone should have some type of personal protection. Stun guns are great options to defend yourself from attacks. Especially if your in anti-gun states.
I’m in New Jersey which is an anti-gun state

I'm saying that, given that LTE can do so already, doing so with 5G should be a cakewalk.
OK I understand. If I’m not mistaken the fifth generation standards won’t be rolled out until 2020.

Satellite is less outdated than you think. ViaSat has 100 Mbps plans, albeit with a 150 GB soft cap. 50 Mbps is available for a relatively reasonable price, depending on area. Of course, there's still the speed-of-light problem.
With that said, 25/3 with a 160GB cap, particularly if it's a soft cap, for like $60/mo,, would be straightforward to sling via 2.5 GHz 5G, and if advertised at all would give Sprint probablh 80% market share in anywhere that can't get cable or fiber. The number of places that can hit those speeds over DSL that can't get cable or fiber is low enough that you don't really have to worry about those folks (basically only rural telephone companies/co-ops do that).
So what your saying is that 5G technology can replace some of this at a reasonable price?

not in urban areas, but for rural, yes it will scoop dial up and dsl customers right up, not to mention satellite internet customers
Oh yeah I do not disagree with you there. Satellite Internet is very outdated. As is Dial and DSL. So I’m interested to see if they actually do rural deployment of 5g

Yeah Just dialing the *3001#12345#* is a pain. Having the widgets on the screen would be easier for sure
But then again field test mode is not accurate. To have the data available for iPhone without jail breaking it would be perfect.

Ok sure. Even though Spring has lowered their prices again isn’t that going to hurt sprint in the long run?
