  1. Error on my part due to confusion of another tower nearby.
  2. Yes I'm sure. Seen it along with the next nearest that is live when I mapped a month in half to 2 months ago.
  3. Oh ok. I just looked at the sponsor map, and noticed the yellow 3G/4G marker is removed from this site.
  4. I stopped by the Vandergrift/Gold Dr site and took pics. From a distance the day before while passing by it, I noticed an antenna change. It didn't look like new equipment when I went up to it, and had black hand smudges on them due to replacing them. It's a cleaner look that kinda looked similar to the old crap (last pic in link) that was on this street light. This site is also LTE live. Cabinets were a few feet away that were ATT and SDG&E. From what I've been reading on this site, I thought everything will be brand spankin' new with NV. https://db.tt/adAGthks
  5. Gotcha. In my case the 2 sites that are near me are way off in meters. 1 site is about 1.1 miles away, and the other is 0.3 miles away which is pretty much around the corner. I drove by these 2 sites earlier, and 1 was a little accurate, but the other was way off when I was pretty much facing it in a parking where it's located. I will send you a PM with screenshots to determine what towers I'm connected to acccording to sponsor map.
  6. I like the new look! Very nice! I have one question. While being inside at home, I check the map part. I see the "T" is labeled as voice tower, and shows the location. I tend to connect to 2 voice tower locations that switches back and forth I'm sitting in the middle of that are both a couple of blocks away. Is there something at those "T" spots I don't know about, or is it just locations that I'm getting my best signal from? I'm asking because I know where the 2 main sites are that are that are less than a mile away.
  7. I decided to pass through to see if there was any progress on Vandergrift in Oceanside about an hr ago, and noticed a site on Vandergrift/Gold has some new antennas being replaced on a street light. Was too dark to take pics. Will take pics tomorrow and post.
  8. Heading north and south on the 5 to work daily, signal is terrible in between Canyon and Poinsettia. Always been on freeway. Both 3G and LTE.
  9. 3dog and djmatty, there are Sprint 2 towers behind that gas station on Manchester, that has a rusty brown color as well as the antennas to blend in with its surroundings from a distance. I stopped by yesterday after work, and the back of the gas station was closed off where extra parking is at. I couldn't get any pics due to that. When you pass by, you'll notice one tower that is being worked on that has white and/or grayish looking antennas on the bottom.
  10. San Clemente has LTE. Check out Sensorly. Not that many people mapping in that area.
  11. For those of you that travel to North County from San Diego often, have you noticed or seen the new antennas being replaced behind that 76 gas station at Manchester Ave/5 frwy ramp? You can see it from both sides of the freeway. It's also 3G accepted looking at sponsor map.
  12. Work is being done in, near, and around my area. I've been on Rev A at home for a few days now. 3G speeds are way faster than I've been use to at home.
  13. When I logged on to the internet this morning, a service interruption notification box popped up from Cox Cable that said this. "Dear Valued Customer, over the next week, Cox will be performing upgrades in your neighborhood. The majority of this work will be completed between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to minimize any inconvenience to you. We appreciate your patience as we complete these upgrades to enhance our network and ensure an even better customer experience. Thank you, Cox Communications."
  14. Wow! I didn't think SD would get it either. I wonder if other areas of North County will see this?
  15. Ok I figured pics #4, 13, and 16 out in the dropbox link I posted. It's a thermoelecrtic cooling system used for electrical, electronic, and telecomm equipment. I assume this will help with decreasing major overheating at this site that has 3 San Diego Gas & Electric cabinets, Cox Cable underground cables, the street light, and Sprint equipment. http://www.iceqube.com/default.asp
  16. Here's a 3G site (dropbox link), that's 3 blocks from where I live over at the Golf Course on Douglas in Oceanside. The last time I made a comment or 2, I was mentioning the awful service I was getting at home for weeks. The reason to that was Sprint crews was working on 2 other sites south of where I live, and lit up LTE at El Camino Real/Mission Ave/Los Alboritos Blvd/Fireside/76 hwy that I mapped a couple weeks ago. As for this site, I'm excited! Finally! This backside location of Douglas that meets up with Vandegrift Blvd near the back gate of Camp Pendleton has always been awful before way before NV upgrades with voice, data, etc. Since last week, I've noticed way better service, faster 3G speeds getting average speeds of 1.10-1.27 Mbps, and great voice signals. As for the pics in the dropbox link, crews are about to get to work. The 3 middle cabinets belong to SDG&E. The last cabinet on the end labeled "Alpha" was never at this location, and was just installed. I have no clue what that is. Cox Cable has some underground cables by it. Anyone know if that Alpha cabinet has anything to do with NV? I also included a screenshot of what I was picking up standing by this site with SignalCheck Pro, and included what I mapped between El Camino Real and Douglas. https://db.tt/2vBipoDH
  17. I know it's still early, but has anyone heard anything about what phones Sprint will be having deals on? What about the upgrade policy for those who aren't eligible for an early upgrades? Last Nov, those who weren't eligible were willing to pay early upgrade fees to get the S3.
  18. Totally agree! For the past 2 1/2 weeks, I can't use my phone that much at home, due to very poor or no service. I've called Sprint about the issue many times, and everytime I call, I'm speaking with someone from overseas on the line explaining the issues I'm having. No credits given toward my bill, no effort to which towers are down and/or upgraded.
  19. And I see they've been getting the same typical response we've heard from Sprint reps for how long now? It would be interesting to know what cell services other police/emergency agencies use, and have contracts with throughout SD county.
  20. I hope the developer fix the location part of the speedtest app. This was in Encinitas today, and the location shows this test was made in downtown LA. https://db.tt/FO9yRf5V
  21. I had the same exact issues last Dec when I was at the Panthers/Chargers game. I was in the field section. Data was useless, couldn't text, couldn't make or receive calls either. Outside of the stadium, data was super slow and lagging. About a mile away from the stadium, all was fine.
  22. Here's a pic of one of the 3 Sprint flagpole sites I took this evening (seen on sponsor map) that I drive by daily going to work. Pic is a little dark due to overcast. My guess is cabinets are in the fenced area. LTE/3G tend to flip back and forth on some days. The 2 other sites are located on business property. One about a mile and half from where I live is located at an car auction lot which have 3 flagpoles lined up side by side. The 3rd site is located at a fire station behind fire truck garages, and also have 3 flagpoles. Here's another question. Why do some flagpole sites have more than one flagpole, compared to a single flagpole site? https://db.tt/HS8cMJio
  23. I've seen a handful of these flagpole sites in my area, or nearby areas that belong to Sprint. My question is how do crews work on sites like this? What can be found inside? Yesterday I seen a crane at one of these sites, being evenly leveled at the very top of the pole.
  24. 2hrs later, it's now working properly. I will stick with the downgrade for now. When I updated the new version, it had a lot of lag, and I noticed many areas that have LTE that were mapped wasn't showing.
