cool stuff always happens when you dont have a camera available doesnt it?  A police chase just ended in my driveway!  Anyways, should i assume it is a bad camera and not a software issue and contact google about it?

Does A restart fix it? I had that problem with my Nexus 5. It was a broken camera module.

No a restart does not fix it.

In the play store, i clicked uninstall for the camera...does that roll back to an old / prior version?  if so, that did not work either.

i think my camera may be broken. im not sure if this happened after i installed 6.1 the othe rnight or if it was going on before update but as you can see, nothing happens.  my photos dont show up at the bottom right, the shutter button stays grayed out and the option to swap cameras is also grayed out.  Anyone have an idea?

I'm still sorta confused why there are huge chunks of LTE roaming on USCC missing in eastern Oregon. It doesn't seem to be a band issue...

No kidding. All of southern maine and NH is missing USCC LTE on the sprint maps.  Central - northern maine is there though.  i dont really know if there is a band difference between USCC southern maine and USCC central maine.

What i do know is, the coverage for maine on the map now was an area that USCC launched LTE quite awhile ago.  Southern maine only just got USCC LTE late september early october time frame so possibly that explains why areas are missing on the sprint side for now.

have users seen this working yet?

what i dont understand is southern maine, while it has sprint coverage, shows areas of regular roaming (which its always been) but no LTE roaming but i know USCC has LTE all over now.

go further north where there has never been sprint coverage and roaming is shown as available on the map.

Does LTE roam essentially anywhere the roaming partner has service, they just wont show it on the map for strategic reasons if sprint exists within X miles?

do the standards for LTE roaming allow configuring allowed areas down to the specific tower and area level (versus CDMA roaming is by SID)?

Same on Nexus 5X.

This is what I was trying to say. I think that the Nexus 6, since 6.0, is maintaining multiple reception, so that it can switch from LTE or WiFi to 1x for calls.

Then how come when i cycle airplane mode during this event LTE shows and identifies as it should, with no 1x displayed?  The only reason I think it is doing this is because it does not get the GCI.  That is the only thing missing under signal check during this.

cant you pay for hotmail and then gain POP / IMAP access?  If so, do that since the address is so valuable and then you can use any mail app you want.  I still use K9 Mail.

got notification for a software update this morning.  says a november software release.  am i imagining things or do i remember reading that monthly updates will be the new norm?

Band 26 radio performance blows the 5 out of the water for me.  band 25 about the same.  no band 41 for me to try.

hey cool thanks.  *73 and *74 worked perfectly.  guess google voice needs an update to its instructions.  now i just wish the voicemail tab in the dialer of marshmallow would work but from what i read that needs carrier support.

This seems weird to me... Are you sure you have it setup correctly on the Google Voice website as well?  I have had it setup for awhile, but just re-did it when 6.0 came out and I did a full wipe.  May want to check all settings, you aren't talking about full integration are you?  I do not use full integration, so I cannot speak to that.

No, just for voicemail not full integration.  the same steps worked on the nexus 5 way back when and whenever i had to redo it.

I will have to poke around the google site I guess to reset things.

I am not familiar with the other dialer options like 73 and 74...dont those charge by the minute for forwarding?

i cant get google voice to take over my voicemail duties.  i call the number the set up tells me to with *28 but it just rings and rings and voicemail is still stuck with the sprint system.  i seem to remember it is just suppose to ring like once isnt it?

How often are you doing this? I could see it locking things up doing it every week but every few months or year?

There is an email to text gateway that is used for both text and MMS.  MMS is different than the SMS address.  I use them both daily for alerts and pages which i believe was the original use for them.

No, I don't believe you can install Sprint's voicemail app on the Nexus.  Google Voice has been pretty reliable for me.  I haven't tested it yet but I don't think you even need the Google Voice app anymore if you are using it just for voicemail.  I think you can enable Google Voice through the web and activate it with a dialer code on the phone.  It will then add a new tab in the phone dialer for voicemail.  

the tab is already there since marshmallow was released, even on the nexus 5...would love to get that working. 

EDIT- Seems the visual voicemail in marshmallow is not working for sprint, verizon or AT&T.  Just TMobile.  Anyone have evidence to the contrary?

I ordered a white one yesterday around 1pm EDT. Order currently says 'Pending' and expected delivery says Oct. 28-30. My card has not been charged.

 

If you try to order a new one now, it still says leaving the warehouse by the 22nd.

Did you try signing out and in?  I viewed mine and it showed as pending as usual but then I had to sign in to play with the "Find my android" features and when i went back to check it again itshowed shipped.  So either I got lucky and caught it right when they updated it or signing in did something.
