  1. Oh, so they just took it off of regular service. So not full EOL, just shifted to prepaid. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  2. If something is to come from Sprint & T-Mobile merging, and there is hope that the government is going to allow it, then summer launch Sprint phones will come with Band 4 LTE compatibility out of the box. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  3. Yes, the Sprint/Verizon (CDMA) iPhone 5S is compatible with Band 4 LTE (AWS). So LTE for LTE, it would work right out of the box. So yes, from day one they could enable access for another LTE band on those 2 phones by a software update and put the LTE scans in the PRL, and the Nexus 5 users, and iPhone 5C & 5S users would have 4 LTE bands to choose from. 4. I'm going to call T-Mobile's bluff on this. In areas that they have EDGE only coverage, getting backhaul deployed in a year will be next to impossible. Although I am surprised that they want to fully refarm their PCS network to LTE after they just moved HSPA onto it the past couple years. I smell something fishy. 5. NSN only has TDD LTE equipment. It isn't designed to run on WiMax. Sorry. As for replacing, over time all Huawei equipment will be replaced. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  6. As far as we know, just Sprint sites, but the whole getting rid of Huawei equipment can change that in a heartbeat. If that changes, that would be great. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  7. Wow, I was hoping the S4 mini would last a little but longer than it did, but I guess the S4T was just more popular. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  8. In order to add AWS to NV sites it would take adding new antennas, new RRU's and new carrier cards. Because NSN is already doing T-Mobile LTE deployments, it'd make it pretty easy if NSN went around AWS LTE to Ericsson sites. And for collocated or really close sites, moving the equipment wouldn't cost much and just installing carrier cards into NV sites. As for HSPA PCS, I'm not sure how they would do that and what the costs are for such a deployment. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  9. Very odd. Maybe it's some kind of animation built in? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  10. As far as I know, 1x800 is restricted only by the PRL. The Carrier Bundle contains optimizations for data performance with the network. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  11. Thanks. That's quite the big modem firmware update. I wish I knew where to look to see what's all included. Anyone see any reception improvements since the 7.1 update? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  12. That's just the carrier bundle. Radios usually are updated. Look for the Modem Firmware near the bottom of the about screen. iOS 7.0.4 says 1.03.01 Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  13. Progress! Finally! Here's to hoping all of them get worked on soon! Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  14. First, there is a misconception going on. Las Vegas is an Alcatel-Lucent market. Historically, ALU has had issues with 800 MHz equipment. They are now resolving those issues and ALU markets should really start taking off quickly. Look at all the 1x800 acceptances just in Vegas in the last week. Band 26 LTE, once it starts getting deployed in Vegas should go fast. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yes, I bought the original Signal way back when, and when v2 came out, I was able to download it immediately. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  16. Active set info has to do with your connection to the Sprint Network. I don't remember all the details, but that's the gist of it. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  17. I figured not. It's unfortunate too, because I would like to know more details about voice protocols used on the iPhone too. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  18. That is one thing we aren't sure of. I wish I knew how to identify it on the iPhone, but I don't know if it's listed in those screen shots. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  19. Signal 2 is on the ModMyi repo. It's a standard repo in Cydia. And yes, it does install despite not being supported on iOS 7.0.4 Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  20. iOS 7.0.4 Signal 2 works fine on it. iPhone 5 & 5S had access to the 1x800 signals all the time, but are limited to only in locations where PCS voice isn't available. The PRL scan prioritizes it that way. But frankly, I'd rather see it the other way around to keep voice signal indoors better than a -95dBm. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  21. Speedtest for iPhone was updated to 3.2 yesterday, bringing along with it a much needed feature: Dynamically changing speed gauge to compensate for speeds above 50Mbps! That's right, it now can adjust itself when your speedtest goes over 50Mbps. iDownloadBlog has a nice little writeup on it on their website: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2014/03/12/speedtest-app-ipad/ Now the question is: when will the Android version get it's update? Hopefully sooner than later, that's for sure.
  22. AT&T users generally do not know when they are roaming, granted that has been getting smaller and smaller, but places I know are roaming always showed AT&T/Cingular on my phones when I was on that carrier. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  23. My friends are both on Sprint. One of the 3 iPhones I manage is not jailbroke yet, and still suffered from the time change issue. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  24. My phone changed time zones and my friends did too, so I turned off auto date and time and manually set them both to Cupertino. (I'm on pacific time) Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  25. Good question. I'll have to do some research when I have the time and compare the 2. Do you have the FCC ID for the zing so I can look it up easier? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
