  1. Sure - why not? It is about value. Removing contract subsidies puts Sprints prices close to the other carriers for me. Take my family for example, we don't use a lot of data so moving to Verizon will not cost very much more than Sprint and it will provide a better network for us. Before the removal of subsidies, the price difference was too big to make the jump.

And yet, I could have stayed with at&t and not paid much more than I did when I switched to Sprint. Network quality was about the same here where I live. Yet I chose to quit feeding into the greed of the Twin Bells.

It seems to me that those that only cared about Sprint for 2 year contracts shouldn't have even been here to begin with.

  2. Well, as of today, January 12, 2017, Sprint now has every iPhone 7/7 Plus configuration available to ship today. Let's see how long before shipping delays return, but hopefully they won't.

Oh, how's everyone's battery life? I still do not have a 7 Plus, and may not get one since the next iPhone comes out a few months after my lease ends.

  3. Interesting as that's the same day T-mobile has their next Uncarrier event.

It's at CES. I'm not surprised they are both on the same day.

  4. Oh, here's one. Sprint service has been fully dead since I got home from LA this morning. And now it's still dead, with no official eta for restoration. No LTE, no CDMA, just roaming on Verizon, with Verizon EVDO dead as a door nail.

LTE looks practically complete now. Ladies and gents. Finally. My Vegas road trips will be [emoji91][emoji91][emoji91][emoji91][emoji91][emoji91] now

I mapped from LA up to Baker with my LG G Pad, so figure iffy on anything lower than 3 bars on their coverage map. My iPhone was not connected at all times to LTE. Of course with Sensorly, I would always be cautious with anything under 3 bars.

If Sprint is launching B26 LTE down I-15 after re-banding is complete it sure will help though.

  6. How was it ? How much LTE was there ?

I know on the North side of Baker there was LTE, and for most of the trip between Baker and Barstow there was LTE. I will check and will run Sensorly on my lg g Pad tonight or tomorrow morning on my way home to add any missing spots.

I should clarify that I turn off on Highway 127 at Baker and go up to Shoshone to go home to Pahrump.

  7. Hey guys, random question. I know many members of S4GRU are mobile device experts and use various carriers depending on their location and what works best. My question is does anyone know the correct Verizon sim for the iphone 7/7+? I currently have a sim labelled "DFILL 4FF-NFC-A" with the UPC code 840168090693. I bought my dad an unlocked/sim-free iphone 7+ for xmas and was wondering if that sim will work and allow the device to fully take advantage of Verizon's network.

I understand this might not be the best place to ask and I thank everyone in advance for any information.

That is something you need to ask Verizon.

  8. Earlier this year when I got a replacement for my 6s Plus I ended up with a Samsung chip and haven't noticed much difference in battery compared to the TSMC chip I had in my first one. I think it was overhyped. In fact, overall I think this phone stays cooler than my first one.

  9. Remember when Sprint was near $2.50 earlier this year? Man, I wish I had bought big back then. Could have tripled my money in less than a year. SMH

I was just saying the same thing the other day.

  10. Must be nice. Meanwhile we're struggling here in SoCal

How so? It's been in testing. Still as slow as Band 25 is. Only difference is I get 2 "bars" LTE in my house now instead of just outside only.

  11. Well, now that I'm back at Sprint again, I have access to the matrix I had before. It's a different and less user-friendly thing now unfortunately. I'll try and rework the first post with a new system and keep it updated going forwards again.

    Welcome back!

  12. Forever. Deal ends today, from what I heard the T-Mobile stores were PACKED.

That's an insane deal. Good thing there is no T-Mobile store in Pahrump, I might have been tempted to look into it. Does one of the lines have to be a phone line, or can both be tablets?

  13. Anyone see that t-mobile deal? two free lines for current and new customers... I know someone that was an existing t-mobile subscriber, went to the T-Mobile store and got an 18gb tablet plan and an unlimited phone plan for zero dollars.

Pretty crazy. T-Mobile is being very aggressive with promotions. Going to be a good Q4 for them.

How long does the promo last once you sign up?
