Chicago and Philadelphia were the next 2 cities that were supposed to launch, so they could have already been building those networks out when they merged Xohm with Clearwire.

The Sites that WiMax is on the same rack as Sprint, could they be the ones in which Sprint put up when they launched Xohm in 2007/2008?

Can you add that serving cell to the spreadsheet with corresponding site ID? I would but I'm in a meeting until later.

Roaming on Verizon LTE would require a baseband hack, and I don't think anyone is even trying to hack basebands anymore.

Then I must be mistaken. And that could be why nothing shows up. And doing the *#*#4636#*#* was a dead end. My LTE connection dropped after I opened it. Of course, with the phone being on Seasonal Standby that may have something to do with it.

The VIA chipset is for the 1X and EVDO. There is a Qualcomm LTE chipset in this phone. I'll check your suggestions in a few.

I'll try it out in a few since I'm in an active LTE area right now with my Gnex.
Edit: So far, nothing. I'll keep an eye overnight and post again in the morning.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it would be nice. I got to hold one at a T-Mobile store the other week, and it's a very nice device.

In early April, 2 new Airvana models passed thru the FCC, both with 800 MHz beacons. It's possible these will remedy the issues with the current Airave models.

Every so many minutes I watch my iPhone switch back to 1x then back to 3G. Pretty seamless and doesn't affect my data that I never notice it.

For sites that are collocated, Sprint can use the dual-mode WiMax/TD-LTE RRU's by Samsung to accomplish that task. Of course, it still doesn't explain the Ericsson RRUS41 TD-LTE RRU's I found.
