  1. I received notification of an OTA this morning for the EVO LTE. Hopefully this fixes the LTE Connectivity issue and they can stop blocking LTE. I'm installing now. If you haven't received the update yet, you can manually force it by going to Settings > System Updates > HTC Software Updates. If you are rooted, you may want to wait until the Developer community supports because you will likely lose root access. However, if you notice LTE connectivity issues in LTE service areas after they become live, you may want to give this a try to fix your issue. 2. That could very well be. Interesting to consider. If this is the case, Sprint would be smarter not to fire him. Because then he becomes a martyr who has a large audience he can now turn negative on Sprint to. What they do is confront him, write him up and make him sign scary legal documents that say he expressly cannot write blogs or express opinions about Sprint now and up to two years after leaving Sprint. And 99% of people would sign that over losing their job. Especially in this economy. It could explain why it just petered out instantly. Who knows? Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  4. Its not that Sprint doesn't having a roaming deals with Verizon in Chicago. The contract Sprint has with Verizon allows Sprint customers to use the Verizon network anywhere. However, Sprint decides with its PRL's what network you are going to use when roaming. The standard Sprint PRL's either have Verizon as the lowest priority, or maybe even excluded in your region. If you install a Verizon PRL, it would work in Chicago, though. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner

  7. Your 3G icon will change to 4G on the EVO LTE. You will know it's LTE because it's the only 4G technology the EVO LTE can connect to. There are three sites live on the north side of Mansfield, going north on 287 toward Ft. Worth. Robert
  8. Network Vision/LTE deployment will not begin in the Delaware market until 2013. Robert
  9. I have 4 active lines. But yes, you can easily switch phones online. I do it all the time. Especially while working on this article. For instructions how, go to http://sprint.com/landings/howtoactivate/index.html The only thing is online activations only work between like phones. You can switch an account online from a LTE device to another LTE device, or a WiMax device to another WiMax device. But to switch from a WiMax to LTE device, or vice versa, you have to call Sprint. 10. No. I bought the GS3 and EVO LTE on contract. I bought the Viper and GNex used from S4GRU members. I also have a Epic 4G Touch, Motorola Photon, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Some people say I have a problem. Some of these, like the Photon, Viper and Epic I just recently picked up for a radio performance article I'm working on for S4GRU. Robert
  11. I don't have any specific info about an OTA. My Viper, GNex and GS3's have had recent OTA's. Seems like the EVO LTE should be soon. Robert
  12. The only connectivity issues I am aware of involve LTE signals. I have an EVO LTE and cannot replicate the problems I have seen around our forums and elsewhere. However, all the instances I have read are in Network Vision markets and have chalked up these issues as coincidence. Robert
  13. None of the corporate PRL's support 800 voice. There was one for Chicago, but they removed it. You can install our custom PRL for CDMA 800 testing: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/files/file/18-cdma-800-testing-prl-21086xprl/ Robert

  15. We discuss the issue in this article: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-166-sprint-battling-network-vision-deployment-woes-in-the-windy-city/ The problems will not go way until all the sites in your area are upgraded. It will likely be painful for 4 to 6 weeks. Robert
  16. Network Vision/LTE deployment has not reached final scheduling in Wisconsin, yet. However, the Milwaukee/Madison market will likely start this Winter. The North Wisconsin market will not start until some time in 2013. Robert
  17. Never heard of it. Is that anywhere near Mukilteo? Robert
