  2. Highland is in the Chicago market, where as Lafayette is in the Indy market. Robert
  3. I believe my theory of the LTE Record showing blocked LTE sites has been debunked. Robert
  4. I am not familiar with the lawsuit you reference. Please provide a link. Robert
  5. If you go here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/forum/31-interactive-s4gru-maps/ There are two separate threads. One has Completed NV sites around the country. Another shows all the Network Vision sites in all 97 markets that will be upgraded. Robert
  6. And you are already upgraded. Thank you for supporting S4GRU! Robert
  7. Rickie Thanks. I have added you as a Facebook moderator. You can now sign in as S4GRU. Just please sign every comment with -Rickie, S4GRU Like how I do with my name. That way people will know they are chatting with someone different than me. Thanks for your help! Robert
  8. This will not be corrected as noted. There are two issues occurring. One, Sprint launched early long before they have comprehensive coverage over the market. There are so many sites live, they might as well allow customers to use what is open. Two, Sprint's LTE devices are set for too high of threshold to connect and stay connected to LTE. The device will shunt users back to 3G if the 3G signal is strong, or if the LTE signal is too weak. Sprint needs to get with their device OEM's to lower these thresholds. But this would require an OTA. Robert
  9. The Chicago market is in an active deployment area and none of the sites have been launched. You may be able to get a LTE signal here and there occasionally. But these are all just for testing at this point. Robert
  10. Let your wallet be your guide. Here is more info about sponsorship: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/ Robert
  11. This is being discussed in this topic: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1488-freedompop-extends-agreement-to-sprint-3g-and-lte/ Robert
  12. The first Lafayette sites are not scheduled to start work until the end of August. However, maybe they are starting early? Robert
  13. Due to some of the growth pains we are experiencing the past few days, I have sent a bulk e-mail out to our members. I am reposting here for those members who have blocked emails, so everyone has an opportunity to see it. Thanks,
  14. trouble maker like too many of the newbies that have shown up lately
  15. Sprint and their OEM's need to adjust LTE thresholds. They are too high. Once you get to a midrange or weak signal, it will move over to EVDO if it is stronger. However, this is faulty logic. Even a weak LTE signal is better than most EVDO signals. I hope that Sprint has them lower the LTE threshold so LTE devices can keep a connection to weak signals, instead of being shunted to EVDO. In a WiMax device, this was easy to modify. But we have not been able to find a way on a LTE device yet to adjust the threshold. It most likely will need to happen via OTA. Robert
  16. Where is the site location? I will look it up. Robert
  17. I have accidentally hit the report button several times myself, but never submitted. When you successfully report something, a little exclamation point appears in the same line as the Report link in the offending post. Robert
  18. I cannot speak to you all who are having connection problems to LTE. There are many of our members who are not having connection problems in these markets next to live sites. As for a Sprint store ruling out no problems with the device, I don't think they can definitively say that unless they had a live LTE signal in their building that they can compare it to. They were just sending you on your way. You may indeed have a device issue. Also, you guys need to tone down your comments. I am OK with you reporting what is going on in your area and what you are experiencing...both good and bad. But dramatic and sensational negative comments are a violation of our posting guidelines. Lets keep our comments constructive. Thank you. Robert
  19. Yes, it turns out the Kroger report I had was actually in Atlanta. Sorry for any confusion. Robert
  20. There are two issues. One, LTE deployment is only on 20% - 30% of sites currently in the Atlanta market. More sites will be added weekly and the coverage will just keep growing and growing. The second is the LTE signal thresholds need to be lowered on Sprint LTE devices. Once you drop below a certain LTE signal level, it wants to go back to 3G. However, a moderate or weak LTE signal is better than a strong 3G signal in most cases. Hopefully they will improve the thresholds in the next OTA. Robert
  21. We have added AJ and Roy as temp moderators to help out while I am on vacation. Thanks guys! Robert
  22. It did not show up. You know that Deval is a Moderator, right? S4GRU Staff: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1250-s4gru-staff/ Robert
  23. The Myrtle Beach market will not begin deployment until 2013. Why does everyone bag on Puerto Rico? The PR/VI market has more people in it than the Myrtle Beach market. Also, Sprint has a large market share in PR. Why wouldn't they do Puerto Rico? Robert
  24. How strong of a signal did you get when connected at this location? Robert
