  1. I created a map of the current live LTE coverage in the McKinney area for you. See below: Drive to be near one of these towers. Change you phone from CDMA/LTE mode, to CDMA only mode. Leave it there for a minute or two, then switch it back to CDMA/LTE mode. If it finds a 4G signal, then good. If not, there may be a problem with your device. We have had a few members confirm they are receiving LTE signals from these sites around McKinney. However, go to more than one to rule out the possibility that one of the sites was temporarily down. Let me know what you discover. Hope it works out for you. Robert
  2. Note that deployment is only in the very initial stages in the Miami market. I don't think they will meet the aggressive schedule that we posted for the month of August. However, I do think there will be some LTE sites that will complete this month in the Miami market. However, if Miami is like other Sprint markets, the LTE may not be permanently live until the market is formally launched. We won't know for certain until some sites start completing later this month. Robert
  3. I'm not seeing the screenshots you reference. Robert
  4. Probably. However, we have had several members do the LG8 update this way, and I haven't heard anything bad happen. If you are completely stock, you probably shouldn't have any problems. Most likely any problems would come from custom ROM's or rooting, since LG8 is a OEM update. Robert
  5. You can wait for your phone to receive it on its own. However, that may take awhile longer. I still haven't received it. Or you can follow the information in this post about how to force it manually: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1097-samsung-galaxy-s-iii/page__view__findpost__p__37970 Robert
  6. Yes. St. Marys, Charles and Calvert counties are all in the DC market. Robert
  7. This seems to happen a lot in all the markets where deployment is occurring. It's probably nothing to be concerned about. It always seems to come back. Robert
  8. We have been reporting September, but it seems all Sprint launches are appearing to be running about 30 days behind at this point. So it could be October. Robert
  9. I am there for a family function. My LTE testing is incidental, not the purpose. Robert
  10. No. I'm going to release an article on the 1x/EVDO on 850 and 1900. I will be in Waco on Labor Day weekend, and I will test the 4 LTE devices I have there then in a separate article. Robert
  11. I have one more batch of testing to do. Each batch takes a lot longer than I imagined before setting out. I hope to complete the work some time this week. Robert
  12. Thanks. I will let you know if there is anything you can do for us. Much appreciated! Robert
  13. S4GRU has interactive maps in our Sponsor section of our website that show all the completed sites in the DFW Metroplex (and all markets for that matter). It gets updated weekly. For more information about how to become a S4GRU Sponsor, follow this link. Also, I have provided this map for you showing the completed sites in the area:

  16. He's in an active 800 CDMA deployment area on a site that has received upgrades. I think there is a very high likelihood his observations are correct. You are on a 800MHz 1x carrier. Congrats. On another note, CDMA 800 is tested on Channel 476, not on a hidden channel in G Block. So it is more likely to be discovered much farther in advance of being turned over to Sprint than LTE will. 17. Have you received and installed the OTA LG8, yet, and set your device to CDMA/LTE mode? Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
