  1. Uncritically negative posts are a violation of our posting guidelines. We are not a Sprint complaint board. I thank you for your assistance in trying to keep S4GRU a place to have informative and helpful posts about the Sprint network. We all aware there are vast expanses of Sprint 3G in dire straits. That's why Sprint is spending billions on upgrading with Network Vision. It's going to take some time to get everywhere. If you cannot wait it out, we understand. Everyone has to do what they have to do. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner

  3. In our Sponsor section, we have a NV Sites Complete interactive map that shows all the sites that Sprint has accepted as complete from the OEM. You could use that information to find the nearest site to you that is complete, drive over to the site and cycle through CDMA and LTE to see if you can pick up a LTE connection. It can help you to rule out if you have a device problem. We have had one member do this and discover his LTE was not functioning and was able to get a new device. 4. I think there is a good chance that the LA market launch could still happen in October. However, I think September is out at this point. Robert
  5. There is going to be a lot of variability in the Verizon network, just like there is going to be on the Sprint network. Here is my speedtest just now on Verizon LTE with a good -86dBm RSSI signal, using my Verizon Hotspot. My coworker just ran one on his Rezound for comparison. He got 6Mbps down and 4Mbps up. However, we are in a heavy usage area next to Los Alamos National Laboratory. But that's my point.
  6. It seemed to me like the Sprint signal got stronger near it, but now looking at the site map, it's not on there. It's possible it is a new site. It is on the Google Maps satellite image, though. So it can't be too new. Robert
  7. Verizon LTE in my area is mostly between 5Mbps and 10Mbps. I have only seen it hit 15Mbps once. Sprint will be able to compete with that just fine. People have a tendency to compare Verizon's peak performance to Sprint's LTE, not their every day performance. Verizon is now in the position it is going to have to keep up with creating more LTE site density. The 700MHz coverage advantage will only take them so far. Now capacity is starting to strain the network in areas, site density is going to have to increase. Verizon is only starting to show life they are adding capacity with greater site density. However, Verizon will not add capacity to increase speeds back up to the maximum. But just likely to maintain their advertised speeds. Robert
  8. Based on my observations in the Springs in July 2012, their 3G is better than most other similar sized cities on the Sprint network. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner

  12. It wasn't any problem. I just was sleeping. Upon morning consciousness I discovered the transaction and I applied it to the new account. And all is right with the world. Welcome to S4GRU. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  16. There were no new accepted sites, however, there may be sites that may be newly broadcasting LTE. We only get lists of sites Sprint accepted this week. It's possible even that the guy who would inspect and accept the sites in San Antonio was busy in another market or out on vacation. Who knows? Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner
