  1. Yes, but with only 10Mbps on an unburdened site, you pretty much had a weak signal before you went indoors. Weak signal outdoors equals dropped connection indoors. You just need greater site density. In my FIT testing, I lost 8 to 12dBm going indoors. If I was 8 to 12 dBm from the maximum threshold, then you get dropped. In places with good density, this was not an issue. 800 and 700MHz lost the same amount of signal going indoors in my testing. And since VZW LTE 750 is deployed much less dense, I was finding similar speeds and signal strength as Sprint LTE in fully deployed areas. As Bob Azzi once said of Sprint LTE, "This dog can hunt." 2. If your expectation is late 2014, then you will be pleased. Because they will beat that by a country mile. The Georgia market is already under deployment. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  3. All of our In Progress sites in the Tampa market are from members. We did have the Spring Hill and I-275 S St. Pete site did come from a source and were In Progress a very short time before they went live. They were provided to me with a list of about a half dozen sites in several Florida markets. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Brian Regan's weight and girth skit is a classic if you get a chance to look at that one. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Verizon and AT&T customers are stingy with their data and not willing to share it with Sensorly crowd sourcing. Sprint customers freely use Sensorly and RootMetrics because we have no data caps. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  6. It varied by market and OEM. There are lots of different factors. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Not to mention they want to pump White Pine County dry. One of the wettest and prettiest places in Nevada. It would look as barren as Vegas in 5 years if they had their way. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. I don't think Mr. Son would be keen on the idea. I'm pretty sure he wants TD-LTE 2600 for global scale of economies. I personally would be OK with it...IF...Sprint hosted a TD-LTE 2600 network for DISH, DISH persued hotspot coverage for Sprint like Clearwire and Sprint customers could roam on it for reasonable terms. Because it will take a few years for Sprint to get the S band up and running. Getting LTE approved on it, getting devices starting to be built and a network deployed. Probably take 30-36 months. And Sprint will need a back up hotspot plan in the interim. But now that I type that, it makes more sense to keep Clearwire and its assets. But the S Band is not the end of the world. But no matter what, SoftBank wants Clearwire. Maybe as much as Sprint. I'm almost sure of that. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. One of my favorite skits. We are planning to see Brian Regan in Amarillo in February. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. Over in the Sponsor section we have maps of sites that are reported from a source as live. Its in the NV Sites Complete maps under Alcatel Lucent. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. Sprint is trolling customers now? Nice. Fairfield has half of its sites upgraded and the other half will be upgraded one at a time probably every few weeks. Some might say you are trolling our site. Looking at Sensorly, there is quite a bit of coverage already in the Fairfield/Suisun area. And I bet not even half of it is mapped. I would suggest you get in you car, turn on your LTE and contribute to the Sensorly mapping in your community. I bet you would be pleasantly surprised how much coverage there actually is in your part of Solano County. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. I don't think Sprint will say in official channels that work is under way in markets they have not announced. I remember something similar happening in Raleigh. I had someone confront me and say I was lying that work was under way in the Raleigh/Durham market and they cited some official Sprint FB page or Tweet or something. It wasn't even but a week later that Sensorly reported the first hit in the market and it showed up in the following site update. It was a full two months later before Sprint acknowledged work in Raleigh. So that tweet does not concern me one iota. Have you been able to verify if it is even legit? 13. Seems like much ado about nothing. Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone hold very large spectrum assets, that are much more valuable and useful than EBS/BRS. Also, it gives more competition for American consumers, not less. I think Ergen may have had his own plan for CLWR and this is just sour grapes. Or possibly, he wants to be first in line for any CLWR spectrum divestiture. Meh. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  14. The announcements mean nothing. Most major markets had work under way long before announcements. San Francisco, DC, Raleigh to name a few off the top of my head. They cannot announce larger markets right as they start because they take so much longer to deploy. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  15. Very possible. Keep your eyes out for panel work. Thanks for the photo and starting the thread. Robert
  16. I think work will start in the STL area before the end of Winter. Robert
  17. Wireless Grass? Is that pot for S4GRU dorks? Robert
  18. We have maps of the sites that are live or very soon to be in our Sponsor Maps: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/517-nv-sites-complete/ Robert
  19. C'mon Rickie. Spill it. You've let the cat out of the bag. Or at least post it in the Sponsor forums. Robert
  20. I love Winter sun lighting. Great pic. Robert
  21. By the picture alone, it is hard to identify. It is quite blurry. If you are able to post a better picture, we may be able to identify for you. Robert
  22. Work is confirmed as started in the Northern New Jersey market. Work is confirmed at 5 sites. More and more every week. It will be at least 45 days before the first LTE testing signals start going live though. But it is progress. S4GRU Sponsors can see maps of where work is underway in Northern Jersey market. Robert
  23. I say Missourah, and if someone complains to me about it, I switch to Misery. They like that one even less. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. Only if a Sensorly user goes there and plots it. I see many places with LTE coverage and no one has bothered to go there and run Sensorly yet. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
