  1. ^^ This ^^ For people who are in a market where rebanding is completed, both CDMA 800 and LTE 800 should be able to be deployed. However, if a Public Safety Agency has been given an extension in that rebanded market, they may only interfere with the larger LTE 800 channel (3-5MHz), but the narrower CDMA 800 channel (1.25MHz) may be free and clear. Robert
  2. As it's explained to me, you have to have your switch be upgraded to handle handoffs between 800/1900 and the 1900 site you are handing off to cannot be legacy. So either of these may have been the problem for you. Robert
  3. In some instances it is carrier cards. In some instances it is lack of LTE integration techs. But these only cause delays of a few weeks, and extreme cases a month or two. Long term delays for LTE 1900 is almost always backhaul. LTE 800 it can be spectrum clearance too. Robert
  4. There's a good example. Most people hate that commercial. But it's everywhere! Robert
  5. Our Dept of Motor Vehicle offices in South Dakota are kind of small. Our DMV's don't even have suburbs, let alone exurbs!! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Bad advertising that everyone is talking about is very effective. That's more preferred over having good (and expensive) advertising that no one even notices. I agree that it would be best to have good advertising that everyone talks about. But anymore these days, people prefer to talk about the train wrecks. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  8. Specifically the I-29 Corridor from Brookings, South Dakota to Sioux City, Iowa including Sioux Falls. It doesn't go into North Dakota at all. It's basically just far Eastern South Dakota and the Sioux City, Iowa area. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Erie is all GMO sites. I haven't heard one peep about these starting to be converted to NV Full Build yet. I think it will still be a long time still. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  11. I cannot confirm or deny that. But perhaps that's the reason for the diet? Robert
  12. Yes. In many places. But I'm on a diet. I'm down over 25lbs. Must...retain. will...power... Robert
  13. No. But I have a tendency to make the best of any situation. Robert
  14. I called him Dave once, then he beat me up. So now I just call him David. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  15. S4GRU Members: I am going into an extremely busy period for a few weeks. I will not be around as much as I normally do through approximately 21st. I will be here as often as I can, but please understand that it will take me much longer to respond to questions, forum issues and discussion and messages. Everything will run slower involving me. Upgrading members will be my number one priority. In the worst case scenario, it may take a few hours before I can upgrade someone, if I'm flying or in a meeting. I'm also going to be spending a lot of my S4GRU time completing an audit of Sponsor accounts, throwing off members who have expired. Remember that S4GRU sponsorships are only good for six months from your last donation date. If you haven't donated in the past six months, get current on your own so you don't have to get the dreaded "expired" message from me. I will find you. If you guys are able to answer questions people have directed at me in the forums, go ahead and answer it for me. I really appreciate those of you who do that. The less time I have to spend on answering questions, the more time I can spend on content when I am here. I may be asking some of you for help. And I will be very dependent on Staff during this time. I thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  17. I checked out network.sprint.com just now and didn't see any markers in nTelos or Swiftel areas. Just Shentel areas. But they have been in Shentel areas since November 2012. The Sprint coverage maps have always shown nTelos, Swiftel and Shentel. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  18. You guys need to stop this either/or, or priority thinking. The two deployments are unrelated and handled by different contractors. They don't have to stop one to do another, or focus less on one to do more of another. They can do both at the same time. They are pretty much unrelated. If Sprint is not proceeding with deploying a second carrier in Chicago, it may be because they can't yet. We just speculate that they can use the USCC spectrum. Like we are finding out with 800 in a lot of places, there are delays in using the spectrum that occur that are out of Sprint's control. None of us know the issues in Chicago preventing a second B25 LTE carrier being deployed on USCC spectrum. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  19. You either will be head writer, or at least a frequent guest. Perhaps a guest host? Robert
  20. Gaming will not likely be effected by throttling. Most gaming systems use very little bandwidth. They don't actually stream any video on gaming systems. All the images are already saved locally, they stream is only telling the gaming console what to display. Just lots of ones and zeroes coming at a very fast rate. In most gaming applications, 1Mbps is sufficient. But ping is critical! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  21. The Dugger family would need several Framily accounts! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  22. It's the same for every Triband device...it's network controlled. Your device only can determine which Band to scan first. Once it authenticates with the network, it takes it from there. It will switch bands for you as it deems best. You just may not have been in any Band 41 coverage yet. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. On unlimited My Way and Framily plans, Sprint only reserves the right to throttle video streaming down to 1Mbps when needed. It's in their terms. However, they either are currently not using it, or it's very rare. No one really ever complains about it. It's intent is to prevent people from using unlimited to stream to their TV's and bypass using a home ISP. 1Mbps YouTube or Netflix stream is pretty adequate for a smartphone, but not for a TV. 24. I thought I recall members finding USCC PCS LTE in the LTE Engineering screens but unable to authenticate with it? Robert
