  1. If memory serves, don't USCC LTE devices support 4 LTE bands? Don't they also support PCS and AWS too? I seem to recall an AJ article or post explaining how USCC devices were Quad Band long before Sprint's Triband devices came out. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Albuquerque was always a 4th Round Market. I often talked about that ABQ was always going to be one of the last markets. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2243-network-visionlte-albuquerque-market-including-el-paso-las-cruces-santa-fe-los-alamos-roswell/?p=84479 However, a lot of our hopes went up when we started seeing NV activity start 17 months ago. And then when full builds really started to take off in May, we really got excited. However, from the time of the first build acceptance to first LTE acceptance was damn near a year. That is the part that made us all really anxious. But I'm happy for you guys now. Part of me is kind of sad to miss it all. But not the part of me that enjoys breathing! Robert
  3. I have changed the map embed in the original post, at the request of Sensorly. They have added the additional functionality from the app into their Full Website browser environment. I like the changes a lot. Robert
  4. So the Tapatalk app tracks what the Tapatalk is doing? I just can't say that I care about that. But I suppose I can understand why someone might. Anymore, I just assume that every app tracks what I do with it. I don't though want it tracking things I do in other apps. That would be crossing the line. I'm no fan of Tapatalk, anyway. So no skin off my back. I wish that Forum Runner still supported their product and kept up to date. Just to have a choice. Tapatalk is essentially a monopoly now. Robert
  5. This is turning into a place where trolls can bash Sprint, and extol the virtues of Tmo. I am closing the thread and posts have been removed. This is OLD NEWS, and has been discussed to death throughout our forums. No one is saying anything new, including me. If someone needs simultaneous voice and data, they will need a Sprint Uniband device or another provider. Period. Robert
  6. You will need to consume another network then. Complaining about it here will not change anything. Sprint will not be adding back SVLTE until VoLTE. Period. If you need that functionality, you will need another provider. It's just that simple. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  7. So you are concerned that Tapatalk tracks the links you click out of their app? Or are you saying they track links that you click in other apps? I'm not concerned about the former, but I am the latter. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  8. AFAIK, you cannot change Sensorly speed test servers. It is what it is. Painful and generally inaccurate. Especially on pings. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Probably not. It takes more than just a codec for HD voice. There are some hardware requirements too. Like two microphones. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Shoulda but didn'ta. That ship sailed a long time ago. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  12. bakedc4 has now moved on to the list. Robert
  13. No provider has SVLTE capable devices except Verizon (on new devices). AT&T and Tmo do not have SVLTE. They fallback to their 3G network to do voice and data together. Verizon is the only one who has decided to run dual transmission paths for LTE and pay the price accordingly to allow SVLTE. This is not a network issue, it is a device issue. The more bands you add, it becomes more and more difficult and expensive to try to keep dual path transmission for LTE and a 3G voice technology to be used together. And it becomes really difficult when one of those bands is TDD (supposedly). Robert
  14. Sprint Triband LTE and Sprint iPhones cannot do simultaneous voice and data. That has been discussed throughout our forums ad nauseum since last summer. Old news, but very true. Robert
  15. Yeah, Miami is fully rebanded and ready to go too. However, there is a public safety squatter that the FCC keeps giving extensions for. Robert
  16. yuhfhrh has now moved on to the list. Robert
  17. It's not a somehow, it's by design. Verizon has their OEM's add multi transmission paths (and pay additional for) to support simultaneous voice and data. They are the last US provider to use multipath. The tradeoffs to do this are cost and to a small extent battery life. Sprint had to make a different choice when they added Triband LTE. It would cost Sprint much more to continue SVLTE, because of their lesser scale and because of the difficulty of the third band (being TDD). If you need simultaneous voice and data, you will need to keep an older Sprint phone, get a second Sprint phone, get a Sprint hotspot or switch providers. 18. Very helpful post. Thanks! Robert
  19. Every donation that I log in our database that adds a new honoree or changes the standings, I will immediately come in here and make the modifications. There have already been a few changes. But it will be hard for anyone to knock AJ off the top. He is the king of the sponsors. Robert
  20. The 800 not going east of the Grand Rapids Metro is most likely a Public Safety Agency in Central or East Michigan who has not vacated Sprint's spectrum yet. The FCC will give extensions for public safety agencies for freaking ever it seems. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  22. Speeds and pings are also erratic because of ongoing Ericsson work at Sprint MSC's/DDC's. Robert
