You aren't streaming or actively using data are you? I was getting frustrated not picking up AT&T LTE when I was in range in my car, and then I remembered I use TuneIn Radio in the car. And I know better. Turn off the streaming, and DING, the LTE indicator on Signal Check Pro chimed. During active data sessions, your phone won't scan for LTE. It just happily stays connected to what its doing. And it doesn't have to be streaming audio/video. It could be something an app is doing. I don't necessarily think this is your problem. I'm just throwing it out there so you can rule it out. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

The entire Sprint LTE network is VoLTE capable. Sprint will prefer VoLTE on FDD-LTE networks over TDD. Sprint currently has only announced they will use LTE Advanced Carrier Aggregation on Band 41. All Sprint B41 8T8R sites will support LTE Advanced and CA with just software upgrades. Sprint B25 and B26 can also be upgraded relatively easily to support LTE-A and CA, but Sprint currently has no plans to aggregate any carriers in those bands. So adding LTE-A to those bands is kind of pointless at this time. However, Sprint may choose to utilize LTE-A and CA in Band 2/25 in the future as it starts to deploy more LTE in additional PCS spectrum. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

No data connection on 1xrtt

Error code 67 is a provisioning problem. I've had it before after changing devices. I think its from your phone number or data credentials being incorrect in your device. If you call Sprint technical support explain the issue and give them that error code, they should be able to walk you through it. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro -
I'm always amazed by your lack of patience. And to think you're a small business owner that has to provide customer service continually. Maybe that's why you no patience? All your clients use it up all day. And then we are left with what's left at night. Try some of the yummy Samuel Adams summer brews and then come back and try again. I do the same thing. I just rushed in here too! And I don't even live anywhere near the service area... Robert

NOLA Sprint density is decent. They just need tons more capacity! Sprint density in Baton Rouge though is one of the worst in the country. Robert

Yes, if the 3G and 4G is accepted, then the new backhaul is upgraded to the 3G too. If a site is 3G only accepted, then it is not connected to new backhaul yet. If it were, the 4G LTE would be live also. Robert

In my area, they put it on 3/4 of the sites at first. The busiest ones. And then they came back about 5 months later and did the rest. And even added two additional infill sites. But only around the city. Drive 5 miles out of town, and it's just 700MHz only. Plus our VZW B4 is only 15MHz wide. Never was faster than 50-60Mbps. Now more like 20-30Mbps. However, my area is not a typical VZW Band 4 LTE build out. VZW has a 70 share in my area and their towers were grossly overloaded on 700 only. They did not want to lose market share to AT&T, so they made us a priority. Which still shocks me. Robert

When Sprint enables Carrier Aggregation...
S4GRU replied to EmeraldReporter's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Any LTE Advanced capable device supports CA. Very common in Korea now. Sprint CA devices will not be out until near the end of the year. Robert -
It's true. In some places. It's also true that Sprint has greater density than Tmo in some places. Heck, Sprint even has better density than VZW and AT&T in some places. In most of the places I go, Sprint and Tmo density is pretty similar. Robert

Rebanding in the U.S. is only one part of what it will take to open up the IBEZ. Rebanding in Canada must also be complete, or no narrowband providers operating on the other side of the border. I have no idea what the status of rebanding is in Mexico or Canada. Robert

Yeah, the rumor I heard was they were turned off in the early Spring. I'd love some verification sometime since then. Supposedly some were fired up in Washington State too, and then turned off also. Robert

Something that you are well aware of, but our members may not be, is a thing we call ground clutter. A 1900MHz map doesn't look too bad compared to 850MHz, all things considered. However, 1900MHz is much more impacted by ground clutter. Bouncing signals off objects, dense foliage, RF shadows, etc. The lower frequency will handle ground clutter objects much better than the higher frequency. And in the outer third of a signal range, lower frequency is more likely be able to be usable than the higher frequency for that reason. Robert

Yeah, if anyone finds 1x 800 within 30 miles of Lake Erie, please post a SignalCheck Pro screenshot. Thanks! Robert

Has anyone used the CDMA 800 sites around Sandusky lately? I heard a rumor that all the Cleveland 800 sites in the IBEZ were turned off. I'd love to get verification. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
