35Mhz Fixed Land Mobile () - Private Mobile and Public Mobile. I guess it is still assigned for Mobile Communication. Maybe the system that use to dispatch Taxi?

 

Same as 150Mhz /450 Mhz - Public Mobile / Private Land Mobile / Person Radio - This one seems to be the walkie-talkie you could buy from store [RadioShack]?

I think coverage was better back then on analog.... Especially with antennas and 3 watts for power!

 

I wish there was a way to have phones built in cars again.. Then switch over to the portable.. With a way that would gain signal strength..

The reason this all occurred in Chicago was that Bell Labs largest offices were in the Chicago Western Suburbs.  It was the most convenient large city for testing.
