Recommended Posts

if this topic is already some where just point me in the right directioni was wondering what the current panels look like on a sprint tower now, and what are differences between the other carriers. Also do the new network vision panels look any different. One more question what do the iden panels look like. Any pictures would be great. Thanks

Here are some pics I took recently from towers that were just upgraded. There is usually 2-3 rrus(really big box) directly behind the pannel. At&t use almost a similar set up but with one rru behind the pannel. Also sprints an at&t pannels look the same but u can defer them with how manny rrus are behind them. Verizon does not use rrus an same with t-mobile.

Except in Vegas where AT&T is using 2 RRU's per panel on most LTE upgrades.

Really? That's interesting. Probably higher data traffic in that area?? Cause I have seen 3 towers that are all within 2 miles from me have 3 rrus.

Yeah, Visalia is that way too. And it appears that AT&T is preparing to launch LTE in Visalia as they have been doing work on their sites recently.

This was just done last week.

What is the usual reason why a site not being live right after it is done with upgrades? Cause there one site that was just accepted but nothing out of it. Also 2 other sites have been done from the looks of it an nothing out of them ethier?

Also in at least Michigan within the border exclusion zone that Sprint doesn't appear to be rolling out 800SMR so initial reports are panels are going up with 1 RRU.
