About Clearwire LTE equipment

Clearwire doesn't even have any devices out yet to run on their upcoming LTE network. Until devices are imminent, there is no advantage to having a deployed Clearwire LTE network.

My understanding of this deal is that 800 million in financing was provided by Sprint to Clearwire specifically to pay for rollout of TD-LTE up until expected merger close date. Not doing the rollout would likely be a breach of fiduciary duty to Clearwire shareholders should the merger fall through for some reason. Even though it is extremely likely in my opinion that the merger will be approved Sprint/SoftBank could have cold feet, shareholders may not approve, or another suitor could step up to the plate.

I don't think there's another suitor. And clearwire really only owns about 55mhz the rest is leased.
