Network Vision/LTE - Tampa Market

So I finally caught someone at a site I was hawking for the last few weeks. It wasn't Ericsson but it was the contractor for the backhaul. Fiberlight was the name of the company. Told me he has 32 sites that they are contracted for and 28 of them are done also said that Brighthouse is the other provider. He said that the difference between them and Brighthouse is that they build right into the site as opposed to what they do which is have Sprint build out to the demarcation. Said that they also in the case of the 28 they have done they are waiting for Sprint to provide what they need. I hate that I have about 10 more questions I just thought of.

You guys that are sponsors. If you look at Pinellas county and the in Progress towers specifically. The tower I saw today is damn near smack in the middle of the other towers. This will be a monster area when it lights up.

that's the truth, I would pay whatever to get FIOS in this area..

Sorry I am going off topic, but I am canceling my FIOS, I am at my 2 year anniversary, they want me to sign a 2yr deal and give me $20/mo discount. so it would be $125 still I am signing up under my wife's name because that is the only way I can the good deal. My wife as a new customer gets $79.99/mo/2yrs and a $300 gift card.

Hey guys, I've never posted before but I've been keeping up with this thread for a while now. I live in St.Petersburg and work for the water department. So I go all over the city every day. From the bayway up to gandy. I just wanted too let yall know I'll be keeping an eye on my phone looking for LTE. If I do come across any I'll fire up sensory and post asap. I'll also post any work I see being done.

    • Probably a lot of Midwest towers. Slight bias since Nebraska is a weird market, but there are tons of USCC sites that T-Mobile isn't yet co-located on. Think a similar situation in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Missouri. But some other markets, like yours, probably don't have that issue!
    • Sticky Customers - YES, and leave them flip to the T-Mobile PLMN when needed and they will be even more likely to Stick.
    • It seems to me that if the goal is to improve rural, the US Cellular buy-out would get them only part of the way there, considering there are plenty of rural areas that US Cellular does not serve.  But I also have a hard time reading it the way I think that article is, that the cost of this deal comes straight out of the $9 billion.  I mean, they're getting spectrum for their existing operations in US Cellular markets, including places that I wouldn't call rural.  (Roanoke, VA is the 9th largest city in the state, for example.)  It seems like some of it should be allocated to rural expansion, but certainly not the whole purchase price. There's also something to be said for getting the customer base of potentially sticky customers who have been used to US Cellular being the only game in town for potentially decades. - Trip
    • T-Mobile has stated 15% of their sites don't have 5g triband. In WV I know WISPs had a lot of 2.5GHz, but T-Mobile was trying to buy as much as possible. More rural FWA would be a big selling point that might overcome any soft bandwidth cap slight overages. Especially since UScellular likely started offering it on c-band.
