Is there any progress to getting lte on the east side, another month has come and gone.

Of course, they have LTE near zanesville and a tower in Granville.  Unless of course you didn't mean that far.  If we're talking the east site of columbus, it doesn't look like much progress is being made inward yet.  Suspect that will come later.

I see them creeping into Westerville finally, would definitely welcome some more upgrades there, it's where I work.

We're probably looking at February for some love. Pun intended.

Today's post has been brought to you by Sprint, the letters GN and the number 2.

I was looking for lte in blacklick

If you become a member and can scope out some towers that would be great.  Blacklick is kind of a dead zone for our members.  We have one tower that is showing as never being checked while a couple other towers being checked as late as 8/1/13.  It is incredibly possible that work is being done in your area / these towers are now in progress.

Here's your chance to save some money on upgrading to Premier for sponsors that are close.

I do know the AT&T fiber guys are way over booked, not making booked appointments and booking installs for February. Been waiting on fiber for a business I do I.T. for since June and that's what is going on.

That screen should do it.. The GCI is there.

working from known GCI in the spreadsheet and factoring in a couple GMO sites not getting LTE and one GMO that will, that's pretty certainly Morse Rd @ Karl. If you go to the debug screen (##debug# then 777468 for the password if needed) and see the serving cell, that would also be a definite factor.

No password on the HTC devices from what I remember nor does it have the PCI serving cell you are looking for.

Just picked up 4G at stone Ridge Plaza - corner of Morse and Hamilton Posted Image didn't get a chance to pull an engineering screen....

Don't need Engineering screenshots. HTC devices tell SCP everything we need to know. Check the GCI and compare to the spreadsheet.

Well my mapping days are done for a long time. I fell and broke my ankle and have to have surgery. Surgeon says I will likely be down for 12 weeks.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I can't imagine that pain.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are as many Link5G sites as there are reserved small cells from franchisees in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them. — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
    • Same with factory unlocked
