Just made my First donation.

It by no means is my site, but I want to say thank you for helping keep the site running. Robert (S4GRU) will probably have you updated within an hour or so.

Today in Carroll, the Columbus Lancaster Road tower, there was a crew running fiber. I asked and that's what he said. :-) I also got over 2 Meg download speed on one test but I couldn't get it again. Not sure if it was legit.

2mb may just have been a time when volume on that site was at a low point. You can get 2 down on a Legacy site easily if they're aren't a ton of people hammering on it.

The Roar Rd tower in Groveport is now live with 1900. Didn't have time to grab any info though. Pretty awesone to be in Baltimore yesterday & Groveport today and just happen to notice the icon on my device.

Yep, we've already started mapping on the Sponsor side.

We have the info on it so save your gas.

So random question.... I know the current 3G seems to top out around 2.5 mbits.  What kind of speeds should we expect on the upgraded 3G?  Or would it be roughly the same, but just have larger capacity?

2.5 Mbps is still the max speed for 3G, however, as you noted the capacity will be larger for each site. The other advantage is slightly greater coverage due to NV panels.  Also, most legacy sites struggle either due to aging equipment or old T1 lines.  So, we should receive MUCH more consistent speeds and latency.  Latency which of course has a HUGE impact on quality of service.

I love when someone knows what the hell they're talking about.

There is a crew up on the Americana Parkway tower off Tussing for at least the 5th time in 2 weeks.

That tower is over due big time!  That area is known for awesome cell service / reception and just HORRIBLE data coverage.  I can't wait for LTE in that area.

Trespassing!!! Actually surprised I didn't pick up on it when I was down this morning. Must be a weak one.

On the weak note, they've bumped some juice into the Basil Western/Diley Rd site, had -42 dBm on that stupid narrow beamwidth antenna they put up there that nicely excludes my neighborhood. When it goes, it's gone. Went from -42 to -87 in one refresh. Feeling like I got Imex Syndrome. lol

Let's see what single Sprint will release this week.

Single?

Music talk.! They release singles before giving us the whole album. BTW ...I drove out to Rohr rd last night. It's dark dangerous and mostly industry. I'm thinking to myself this area doesn't have Digital cable yet so why would Sprint push LTE in it before downtown and my side of town? Weird
