Am I the only one bummed out over Sprint (supposedly) killing off the Galaxy Forever upgrade program for the Galaxy S7 Edge?
Granted, as per one of the articles circulating thru the web today, the program is still available for the regular Galaxy S7, but I feel its only a matter of time that Sprint does the same thing for the S7 non-edge version.
The thought of allowing you to upgrade to any Galaxy phone, be it Note, Edge or not was a good one. But alas, no more.
A moment of silence for the termination of the program.

Arora has now also resigned from Sprint's Board of Directors.
Good. I never like the guy especially when he kept insisting he wanted to dump Sprint.

Got that as well this morning, but forgot to do it since I wasn't on Wi-Fi. Doing it now. Thanks for the reminder.

Same here. Root only for SCP and Titanium Backup and only stock root, but I do not believe the SGS7 and Edge are rootable yet, then again I haven't checked XDA the last 2 weeks.

So far I love everything about the phone except that annoying "SD Card, For Transferring photos and Media" notification that shows up every once in a while. Can't seem to get rid of it. Now while it is easy to just swipe away the notification to clear it, it does appear randomly throughout the day. I've even moved out my images/docs onto my computer and reformatted the SD Card within the phone. Then transferred back the images/docs. But that still did not get rid of that annoying notification. Also tried de-selecting the System UI in the Optimize Battery Usage setting and that didn't help either. Ugh.

Speaking of Flushing areas, was there ever a resolution to the citation issued to Jian Chang by the FCC for interfering with Sprints' signal in the area. (Possibly using a jammer of some sort).

Got to say, the battery life is amazing on this thing.
I concur.
Several are good, I would recommend the spigen crystal curve screen protector but beware, if you are using one of those slim low profile cases, they tend to cause the edge part of the protector to peel off which can be very annoying. But I did have great success with the spigen, thats what I have on my s6edge right now and never had an issue with it.
I tried finding that on Amazon and didn't see it. Only on the Spigen site.
You can use this to benchmark your SD card (it will not delete your data, it benchmarks the free space):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a1dev.sdbench
I'd recommend you at least benchmark it. If you use SD for android apps, and the read/write is dramatically different, you might introduce lag in your device.
The 128GB Samsung PRO+ 90/90 card is $89. I'll probably pick one up in 6 months when it's below $50 when I'll need Adopted Storage.
http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage/MB-MD128DA/AM
Downloaded and tested the 200GB Samsung card. Got it for $79.99 the other day.
As for the benchmarks, here is what it shows for mine.
I probably would not do it until you need it.
Looking at the results, yeah it is way slower than internal, but duh, I knew that would be the case. So yeah, I'll probably do it when I need it in the future. Good to know that the procedure created by Paul is available.

I have the same card, I just may try this Adopted Storage procedure later tonight.

Well I can officially post as a S7 Edge user in here now since the devices got dropped off to me at lunch time.
Like I mentioned in the other (rumor) thread, the S7 Edge is pretty nice looking. Nothing in the videos or pics can illustrate how nice looking it really does look in person. Light, slender but also slippery. Can't wait to start playing with it fully tonight.

So, knowing how UPS is, they usually deliver/drop off at my house around 12-2PM and 4-6PM. And while I do get off at 4, I don't want to take a chance of not getting there in time to meet the UPS guy in case I have to sign for it. So my gut feeling is that it will be the earlier drop off. I tell my boss, I'm taking an extended lunch to pick up a package across town and shoot home.
I get home and nothing, nada, zip , no "I was here and you weren't" tag on the door.(which is a good thing)
So I'm inside and feed the cat and play with him and I hear a loud noise outside. I see and its the UPS truck. BOOM.
I go to the front door and look out the peep hole and yep its him walking up to my door. There he is Mr Brown himself holding a glowing box of awesomeness from Sprint in his hands. Timing couldn't have been played any better. I sign for it. and immediately take it into the house and open up the package to see the two Galaxy S7 Edges there.
After holding it in my hands and looking at the device, i have to say, that even though I knew it would be nice looking, I was not expecting it to be this nice looking. The gold tone of the back is truly eye pleasing. it is light weight compared to the Note Edge and it is a bit smaller width wise and in thickness compared to the Note Edge. I do like that it has a curved edge on both sides.
It is sleek and slippery, so I will be putting on a cover for it since it may slip out of my hands.
Later on tonight I'll activate it and start playing around with it.

Finally got my damn tracking number, should get them sometime today.
EDIT:
Also got tracking for my gear vr's as well, will be getting those today too.
Congrats.
The phones I ordered are on the truck being delivered and I am left to wonder if I need to be home to sign for the package. If so, then I won't be getting it today. lol Unless i leave work and track down the truck like I did last time.
oh and I also finally got a tracking number for the VR Gears this morning, but when I enter it into UPS tracking, no such number exists. Figures.

Tracked into UPS system. They're shaving a day off Blue since the package is tendered at the Air Hub in Louisville.
Here tomorrow. Watch the storms cause trouble now.
Same here, its over in Newark but then noticed that its is scheduled for early delivery for tomorrow. (See attached image)
Therefore I can't resist posting this.
