Sadly, if there is only a 5.9" Nexus offering, I think they'll sell alot less than they could otherwise.

Man I really hope sprint will support the next nexus. I would be so disappointed if they didn't. The nexus 5 has been my best android experience by far. This whole no moto x support scares me.
That's up in the air, hopefully. Although it's starting to look more and more that the next Nexus might be a 5.9" giant.

So I should get my N5 next week.
I live in Raleigh NC. We are an LTE market, but I don't know if we have band 41 or what. Should I just set it on Global? What about band priority?

This is my all-time favorite phone. It's rare that I'm not chomping at the bit to grab the latest-and-greatest as soon as I'm eligible for a discounted upgrade.. I've been eligible since June and have no interest in anything else out there right now. We'll see what the Nexus 6 brings to the table, but I'm good for now.

Yeah, with all the Nexus X talk, I had an itch for the Nexus 5 again. I am a sucker for a good eBay auction, and at that price I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to play with it for a day or so before I decide to sell my Note 3. My upgrade is in May and I'll probably wait until then to see what the Spring releases are.

Well, just decided to pick one of these up again. I had one initially when they rolled out last year, but my market wasn't ready for triband yet, so I returned it and got my note 3. Loved the other one, and finally decided to go back for now.
Just got one listed as "new, but out of the package" for $208 on eBay.

Uh, no, there are plenty of reasons -- both technical and political -- why the Nexus 5 successor might not be available on Sprint. That is why we have to wait and see...

Interesting point you mention.
Motorola and Sprint didn't mesh somewhere along the way with the Moto X. Wonder if they do the same with the Nexus? Is that what you're thinking?

Yeah, I'm not excited about a possible 5.9" device. Hoping for something in the 5" range.

Interesting that it's being reported that the Note Edge will be a limited production

It can happen with any phone lol.
I'm sure that's comforting for all the folks who stood in line and shelled out money for this phone...

If the 6+ wasn't even BIGGER than the N4 that would make it more convincing...
Yeah, and somehow it still has a smaller display.

I think we have huge expectations from year to year. The note 2 was a huge jump from the one but to expect huge jumps in change and performance year in and year out is a bit unrealistic. ...I mean look at the iPhone

Yeah, but to pack in a bunch of gimmicky features like heart rate sensors and not upgrade the antenna... Personally, comparing to IPhones standard is weak. They are the Kings of doing very little to a device and touting it as huge new advances.

So is Sprint going to get the 2nd Gen of the Moto X??
All indications are NO at this point. Maybe a similar device, but Motorola and Sprint are saying no in regards to the Moto X
-
If you live in a "spark" market, the difference will be like night and day.
So a benefit when it comes to Sprint. Guess I was being more general, Samsung overall, just don't see the big step forward with this phone.

For someone that has the Note 3, I just don't see it worth it for this phone. It's almost like a Note 3s (In Apple terms). Small incremental improvements.
Maybe if you're coming from an older phone, or a Note 2, but other than that, this one is a pass in my book.

I actually have the N3.If the Note 4 is pin and size compatible with Note 3, I don't see why that one would not work.

Basically, the Qi charging pad and contacts to connect to phone. Hopefully a pad like this will come along that can be mounted to the cover that comes with the phone.
http://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Standard-Wireless-Charging-Receiver/dp/B00FTULQJU/
So can I just buy one of those and the Qi wireless charger? Rather than buy a new back cover and charger?

It has wireless charging compatible on the specs. Too bad Samsung doesn't just start shipping phones with the wireless charging compatible back already on them. I was hoping to combine the wireless charging with waterproof and never have to deal with the flap but oh well. I have been plugging my smart phone in for the last 8 years guess a couple more won't hurt. Does wireless charging take much longer than normal?

What is different about the back cover that allows wireless charging compared to the one that comes with it?
And how are these things worth $40?
Blows my mind that they'll talk up a feature that you can't use unless you buy a $40 cover and spend $20 for the special charger. Why not ship it out with what you need?

Ok. Is it possible that instead of two Moto X models that Sprint will only carry the Pure Edition Moto X? Personally, I like what I have read so far about it. Could yhe model gound on the FCC site be that phone?
I was under the impression the "pure edition" was the one that you buy straight from Motorola instead of your carrier.

Yes. So you have about a month. By then we should hopefully know more details about the Nexus X too.The $200 buy back is only good for the preorder right?

For the Note 3, on launch day, Best Buy matched the $300 price listed on Amazon.
Yep. It was 350 last year too with Sprint.

I guess no Note 4 for me. Between this and the Moto x im so distressed that Sprint doesn't have a device that moves me yet. I was ready to buy a new device in October for myself. HTC is my last hope!
Don't give up yet, Nexus usually launches in the end of October

Sprint needs to hurry and officially say what day so i can schedule the day off. Local store doesn't get a lot of stock in so always there when they open.
Oct 17th looks like the day.

Well, it's not just for ATT. VZW launched it yesterday.
Sprint is likely getting a different device.
