  1. Thanks! Fast reply and great information! Thank you so much!. But one more thing, the tower has been super super slow for over 2 weeks already. Is it suppose to be terrible for this long??

I heard Robert saying in another thread that towers in progress might take weeks up to a year to be upgraded.

In your area, I didnt see any in progess towers. Also a site that is upgraded might seem upgraded but not turned on, this means that the legacy equipment is still broadcasting 3G service (Slow speeds), this is because NV equipment creates interference with Legacy equipment, remember me saying "the network is brought online into clusters ( lot of upgraded sites that go online at the same time to avoid interference) "

  2. . Does anyone know what this means?

Slow speeds mean that NV is coming, thats what happened near my house. 4 days of useless 3G data and bam on the 5th day LTE popped.

Also, sprint turns on 3G sites in clusters, I only see like 2 sites upgraded in your area, so they are probably waiting to upgrade a few more before they turn on the tower cluster.

    Hope this helps

  3. I can't really blame Sprint. I'm more upset about the wimax deployment because I never got it and they gave up on it.

Robert I'm in diamond bar which is 20-30 miles outside of los Angeles.

I also live in a house right next to a hill so that could play a part.

I seen better coverage in Diamond Bar after some upgraded towers. Back in the days when no NV, I used to take grand towards Chino Hills going up hill and my phone was dead (no service) . Now I have signal and im able to make calls.

But that is right, I had a lot of trouble with low signal in the hill areas of Chino Hills. Even when I had Nextel (iDen) service was horrible, either no bars or No service.

  4. I've been following this forum for awhile, I'm just not an active poster.

When upgrading you get access to exclusive Sponsor Forums, also you have access to the interactive maps that show information about all towers, (in progress, accepted 3G and/or 4G) and their exact location.

Its definitely worth it. Sprint.com doesnt always include all the info that is provided on this site.

    Hope this helps

  5. Did map the area but it seems the app crashed cause it didnt show any points when I tried to upload. This is the 2nd time it happens. I will try to map tomorrow.

I knew 4G was coming... Data was unusable this week, couldnt even load webpages or pandora while at the gym.

Haha no I dont work graveyard. I partied on thursday got home late and then I went to the office early morning to finish some stuff, got home and knocked out.

  6. I’m new to this, so excuse the question, but are you saying if I start mapping with Sensorly everyday to and from work I should see LTE possibly be activated sooner in my area? Near the Main Place Mall in Santa Ana, next to the Discovery Science Center or known as the Cube.

Nope, Sensorly detects your signal either 3G or 4G and maps it in their servers. This way if you would like to see where is 3G/4G Sprint coverage or any other carrier you can check on their maps. sensorly.com

Using sensorly will not prompt spring to activate LTE in areas.

Also, the sensorly is only available on android phones.
