All day my speeds have been horrendous.
I don't understand why they can't just maintain a consistent level.
I have done 3 speed tests today and the highest Ive had is .18Mbps.
Speed can vary depending on how many users are using that same tower, peak times and signal strength.

Got lte on bristol and edinger in santa ana..i tried mapping it on sensorly not sure if i did it right..Hopefully a sign of good things to come.
Yup, it does show on sensorly, thanks for mapping.
-
Lte on Bristol and edinger, 15 mb down. Can't map though, iphone .
Yup, that seems about right, theres a tower nearby.
-
just looked on sensorly and there is a super faint spot of LTE at disneyland.
Yup, that one has been there for a while now.
-
I think there's progress in RIverside...or at least I hope.
Just did a speed test because the phone seemed "zippier."
94ms Ping
1.82Mbps Download
.44Mbps Upload
I NEVER get speeds over 1.00 Download.
It's kind of sad that I'm so excited for 1.82 but I'll take it!
Any exact location?

Great to hear. I just saw a spot of LTE in Santa. I can't wait anymore!

Agreed. Dunno whats going on. In comparison the site next to disneyland was first in OC that showed a sign off on LTE, yet nothing more than 1x speeds.
Yup, I agree with you both, I been waiting for the Disney Tower to get LTE. When I visit the park, my phone is useless.

I just believe Sprint is focusing in the San Diego Area, NV started slowly in Orange County and no upgrades in San Diego. Suddently San Diego started seen massive 3G upgrades and the LTE as we can see in sensorly all over the place. I hope once they finish SD they move up to OC and Inland Empire.
-
I think right now they are concentrating in the SD area as I seen plenty of sites being upgraded. So probably when they are done, we will see sites upgraded and signed off.
-
Noticed some LTE in San Juan Capistrano on Ortega Hwy between Antonio Pkwy north to Caspers Park.
Two sites were accepted today in San Juan Capistrano
-
I cant wait for NV to complete. Was in Disneyland last night, I was roaming on Verizon most of the time and then around 4pm no 3G at all. Even when toggling airplane mode on and off.
-
Its probably from the completed site in South Coast Plaza, that site was upgraded a while ago.
-
Sprint 4G LTE lit up yesterday for about an hour around Santa Ana. Went online today but no one has reported any LTE. So I decided to sign up for this message board and post my speed test. Its coming guys. We have all waited long enough.
On Sprint Galaxy Note 2
Can you map it on Sensorly If on ?
Where in Santa Ana?
-
I never had coverage on my personal phone when I was in these areas. So I assumed they're only the iden band.
You never had Sprint CDMA coverage ? or you mean Disney has their own Iden band?
-
Im curious if Sprint will migrate all IDEN radios used at the Disney park to the new Direct Connect.
When I had Nextel, coverage was excellent at the park.
-
There is now a second spot of LTE in Irvine near UCI!
Noticed that this morning, I cant wait anymore.. I had my Galaxy Nexus and switched back to my Nexus S 4G.
-
These are the new Ericsson AIR Integrated Antennas with integrated radio tops. Notice no RRU. T-Mobile is exclusively deploying these as far as I know. They're dual mode 2x2 MIMO, Release 10 stuff. Snapped a few shots earlier toda
These panels are being installed all over in Orange County, CA. Always get excited thinking its a Sprint tower being upgraded but when I notice closely its always T-mobile.
-
wait okay this should've been a better comparison: San Diego is at 24%,
I think the percentage is refered to the amount of NV sites completed, not the amount of LTE coverage nor active LTE Sites

Isn't there a tower in OC with 800mhz signed off?
That is correct.
-
Small spot of LTE in Disneyland Area
-
why am I not connected to an upgraded tower? I checked the sprint map, and there's a tower not too far from me that has received a data speed upgrade
Sprint usually lights up towers in clusters to improve performance in the network. Having 1 or 2 upgraded towers in the area will bring minimal/some improvements.
-
so I finally switched to sprint and got the iPhone 5, and where I live (Fontana) I get about .6mbps through 1mbps but it is a bit jumpy and the upload is just all over the place...does that mean the towers around where I live haven't even got upgraded yet?
According to the maps, there are very few towers upgraded in your area. Even though some are upgraded, you might still be connected to a legacy tower.
-
Back in 2008 my Evdo speeds in North Fontana were anywhere from 2mbps to 2.7mbps. Obviously we are no where near that today and probably never will be again. But a few days ago off of the 210 and Citrus I hit 1mbps consistently.
I dont see any new upgrades around the 210. Very very few towers upgraded in Fontana

I work in Costa Mesa, and service in my office is terrible. I use 4G Wimax all the time. I cant wait for new NV sites.
