  1. If so, maybe they'll finish there and then start in the Bronx again to do a "second wave" of upgrades Whoa, Chicago is 89% complete? That place is a LTE hot zone.
  2. I understand. A few weeks ago I had full bars of extended service in my apartment where I usually get good signal. Then it came back after two days. I'd like to think that the tower I'm connected to is being upgraded. I haven't seen any speed improvement or LTE but I hope they're prepping it at least. I wonder if there are crews still working in the Bronx or they finished for now and went to the other boroughs.
  3. They're probably working in the site closest to you maybe?
  4. I know, blew my mind. I'm pretty sure 6-10mbps will suffice for my needs. Not much of the "Netflix on the go" kinda person. It would be nice to lookup a YouTube video every now and then with no buffering. Overall, Sprint is doing their thing and I'm pretty sure it'll redeem itself by the end of the year.
  5. My cousins iPhone 5 on AT&T gets 50+ consistently in the Bronx and Manhattan. Indoors as well sometimes. Realistically how fast do phones really need to be? I s**t bricks whenever I go past 15mbps. I think after a consistent 10mbps you can't really tell the difference. Maybe if you jump to 30-ish but slightly.
  6. Same. I was at Applebee's on Marble Hill in the Bronx 225th. No LTE and sluggish 3G. Very strange because that area was one of the first in the Bronx to get LTE if I'm not mistakened. About a week and a half ago I went to planet fitness and ran a speed test while resting. Got 21 Mbps down and 3 up. Could they be readjusting it?
  7. Where specifically? I passed through Columbus circle earlier and it was fine. Then again that's more midtown.
  8. And broccoli! Eww! In other news has anyone else gotten full bars of roaming in an area you know is covered by sprint. Happened to me a while back.
  9. Exactly. I think android is cool too. Not saying its bad or anything, but I just prefer iOS solely because of the jailbreak. If not then it would probably be another story lol since I've had 2 androids before. It allows me to do A LOT of stuff I can't do with a normal iPhone and the jailbreak community is very strong (7 million unique iDevices jailbroken in first 4 days of the iOS 6.1 evasi0n release). Also I rooted my androids. Had Cyanogen Mod 9 and MIUI. Pretty cool. I've been jail breaking since my first gen iPod touch. It's all personal preference so no bashing pretty please. :-) Source for info: Modmyi.com and Jay (Saurik) Freeman. Developer of Cydia.
  10. Recently jail broke my iPhone 5. :-) Screw apple and their limitations. iPhone has serious potential.
  11. I feel LTE lurking closer to my area... About to pounce with its LTE indoor goodness. Lol
  12. Yea I'd rather wait another month or so until the 5s/6 comes out.
  13. Tell me about it. I won't complain though. I think 5-10 down and 2-5 up is pretty darn fast for your everyday mobile needs.
  14. Seriously? Mind = blown. I'll be good with a steady 5-10 Mbps down and 2 up once fully deployed. By the way the rollout on sensorly is looking, this market is making huge moves. Kudos
  15. I think that upload is plenty fast personally.
  16. That's some serious progress. I'm waiting until they fill in the blank spots. Then LTE will be consistent just about everywhere. Thumbs up.
  17. I only get it if I'm pressed against my window lol. For now...
  18. I woke up this morning to find The LTE symbol on my phone. 2 bars of it but unusable. I did a speed test on 3G and results are impressive. Up until a few minutes later where they probably took it down to adjust it or something lol. I've tried airplane mode to reconnect but still slow speeds. This is nice :-)
  19. I wonder if I can pick some off from the 4 train. That LTE needs to show love at 161st and Gerard. Lol
  20. I would be too. Anticipating something good when signal is suddenly disrupted. Could be a good sign.
  21. I would say that this is my average around mid afternoon.
  22. Has work in other boroughs like manhattan momentarily paused? Just wondering because there has been no progress there. Maybe it has to do with actually getting permisable access to rooftops because its a really dense area with lots of towers? I would think that manhattan would take the longest.
  23. Splendid! Even though I don't really go to either. Lol
