I found this weird coverage map site from Sprint, I think it's a test site: https://coverageort.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp?
The updated date updates every day. I can't tell of any changes though.

Check out that Five Gee in the legend. This is something new for sure.

Guenther is always so positive. His timeline is one of the few joys of any log in to continue experiences I have online.

Yeah, John is great. I do miss Guenther, but John really stepped up to fill the role.

Only video ive seen from John Saw's 5G Presentation at MWC..
They really need to get this guy out front more. He is obviously knowledgeable then proceeds to explain this upgrade to a group in such a concise manner, even journalists can understand it well.
John is funny and charismatic with the crowd, he has been with Sprint for so long. Marcelo went from surprise new CEO, awkward Wall Street talking head appearances, to selling a merger. No one is really sure what his customer facing role is outside of rich people poasting on Twitter.
Another great presser from Dr. John.
Thanks for finding this NextgenCPU!

Some Massive MIMO sites may initially just be used for added 4G capacity or to fill in RF shadows according to sources.
Isn't that kind of a small cell solution, not a quarter million dollar tower build?

I just use tweeter to yell at blue check c suites about service levels, this is new to me. Thanks a lot, good granular info for those markets.

Bands 2/4/5 3x aggregate with T-mobile service on LM960. Earfcn of 2450, 2250 and 675 is all 25 MHz downlink available.
Stock 4x4 3dB antenna still. This exceeds the em7565 2x2 on 3 channels with 25ft LMR400>9dB gain yagii by about 5Mb p/s as median over 20 tests and about 8 since 5 pm. Groovy.
After some maths, no band 71 on this firmwares.

I accidentally the band 41 instead of the 30/29, and the 960 sure sees some in the air.

Today has been the best day this month on mobile.

Band 14.

Near 100% packet loss. I need to get this thing on some big antennas already.

When there is only one lever and the state is pulling it you get a 3 year 5G build; but will it be in cities built that no one occupies counted as coverage? Because they have that too.

When you look at some of the things they are accomplishing, its really amazing just how much and how fast they are doing things over there. If they apply this to 5G. China Tower said they just need 3 years. With how fast infrastructure goes up over there, I'd believe it.

What is the theoretical max speeds down and up on a 5mhz slice of 600mhz spectrum using 5G??
Good question! A lot of factors here like you mentioned above, will it run on 4x4 or 8x8? 1024QAM or less? how spectrally efficient will low band be at any of these MIMO configurations before interference or even internal harmonization occurs? Will 600 run in full duplex on NR? What is the bits/hertz/second formula for a 5g transmission?

No, I am talking about their TV Venture before then. You needed an external antenna and it was supposed to replace VHF and UHF over the air broadcast TV and cable networks.
Groovy thanks for the correction. I forgot about this.
*Fun times, that OG roofbloat.-

I remember trying to watch Sprint TeeVee on my hybrid Nextel flip. It was mostly a rerun of some race, basically an old timey gif on repeat. That was the extent of content available to me. Fun times that OG bloatware.

Looks like The Donald just got a South Korean rollout map. I hope Nokia, Ericsson and co have figured out how to keep the lid on prices throughout all this testing hype. It will be a spicy year for capex by next summer.
-
Oh snap. I knew it had to have some kind of carrier variability SOMEwhere. Will try this later.

The lm960 is a great daily driver. It is working great and staying connected to edge band 2. It is still pumping out twice the speed all day long.
No band 14 sighted quite yet. UMTS performance is good too. We had to retro the network a bit to make room on the pole for this router.
I emptied the test box and have one em7565/wg3526 with T-Mobile service getting the usual 30 or so on the roof pair. The third carrier is nice to have on busy days now that band 2 has been added to 4 and 5. AWS3 is still dormant on Tmo and ATT.
I will hook it up to the test pole tomorrow, trying to get bands 12/4/4^2/2/30 👍

Great topic 👌 would like to explore this more myself and began reading albeit very little yet, about ham history and such. I'm heavily invested in cellular for my parameters currently, this is a great place to get started smoothing that out.
Thank you for posting.

Check out my Speedtest result! How fast is your internet? https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/4702016171
This thing doubled my throughput and I just have the stock router antenna hooked up.
I put the 2.4 in the gulag for a few, don't wanna drill this unit up so I dropped an easy 4x4 fix in.
Gonna be super sweet if I can get it in the air soon. Going band 14 hunting w it this weekend. It comes preloaded with an ATT compliant firmware. There is a Sprint and VZW one I do not have, yet. There is a generic band 71 enabled firmware in the works too.
I'm gonna try Sprint out if I can get it working.

What is S1000? Is that still in the magic box 54* series?
The above photos are the MB with the fan inside. Also, the pic shows the one that has the startup management wlan.

Thanks good pics. The s1k is an outdoor locally backhauled femto. Industrial magic box if you will.

Of all the magic boxes I have torn down I do not recall seeing a cooling fan. Is this an s1000 you are referring too?
