  1. HA, looks like T-Mo does have MFBI enabled here finally. This is the first I have seen this. Thanks Sprint roaming. This is also an example of early firmware, they stated bands 71/66 are always on in the manual, even though after fun with roaming I locked it down to bands 41/25 😐

earfcn 66736 reports to the OG AWS1 block at 2250. Also a(nother) great example of no band/roaming restrictions.

Unfortunately, I am unable to get a Sprint signal so no testing of the native network :(

  2. Sprint roaming on T-Mobile, 3xCA earfcn 2250/2450/675. Band 4@10MHz, Band 5@10MHz and Band 2@5MHz. I see no evidence of roaming service being offered only on a selected band or channel. This is every channel they have here deployed. Digital Dividend is still in the garage, so no restrictions here.

The ping runs about 60ms higher over my T-mo service in a EM7565 so probably seeing some routing through Sprint here. The upload being garbage and that little bit of loss is reflected in this being supplemental downlink, so I have the antenna tuned kind of special.

  3. Is the EBS/BRS spectrum partition an issue in NR deployments, or are they able to gather these disparate blocks into an 60MHz carrier like we have been hearing will be deployed? Is time division in NR a solution to the blocks being '16.5MHz down at this end and 6.5MHz up at this end but look out for that other leased block in the middle' scenario? I don't know if it relevant to NR as a tech but I wonder how it will work.

We just curious about how some of these blocks get aggremugathered together in the new airlink. Thanks!

By chance. i'd like to speak to you privately (phone, PM, etc)...I have some questions.

Looking at getting the LHG series...but I'd like to talk to someone who knows more about microtik than I currently do. I've ALWAYS used UBNT gear...they just don't have any LTE equipment.

Hey fren. A buddy out west resells AT&T service in units like you describe. He has been having quite the time as well. I just picked up a couple boards from Mikrotik this week and am flashing with modemmanager or ROOter. I use those firmwares in my own gear here in our lab. I am not the programmer you are looking for, I just aggregate this stuff to see what I can use to connect easier in tough spots, but my PM's are always open for team UDP if you have any thing you believe I can help with.

  5. This card has been dunking on our Sierra cards for over a week now. Uptime is super stable for v1 firmware. Zero(0) disconnects until I restart it to move it from router A to B. We going to test Sprint service tonight. I am excited to see some results there, we are in a legacy deployment market but it would be nice to see a connection made or not over LTE. Running on One 5ft 17db gain 1.7-2.7GHz antenna for mains 1,2 and we have ports 3,4 hooked up on their own 9db gain 2-2.6GHz.

If I don't get good reception on band 25 with that, time to port that last line out.

    Sorry....sorry speeds..

    Still sorry...sorry speeds.

    I paid initially for a 25/5 package...but I'm seeing average speeds of 7 to 8mbps download, and 1 to 3mbps upload.

I work for a WISP..we use ubiquiti equipment in our deployment of fiber to air...but he's finally been convinced by me (because I went to basically his competition) to start leaning towards LTE and using that instead of 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz in PTP and PTMP links..

So, he ordered a SIM from someone...not sure who, and also got a Microtik SXT series antenna for the SIM ...and right now i'm testing it at my house with a 25 to 40mbps download, and 12-20mbps upload.

I want unlimited speeds and unlimited data on a SIM..and be able to use that in this microtik SXT that I'm testing, or I'll even buy the microtik LHG series if I can find a SIM to use from AT&T that gives me unlimited/unlimited on speed and data allotment.

(Sardis speeds probably suck because it goes thru their DNS ...I'm not sure on why)

Mobley unlimited connected car sim Postpaid 19.99/mo
    Ipad unlimited prepaid 29.99/mo
The SXT has a cat 3 radio in it that is a bit fussy if you exchange it for a modern one. RouterOS has rough support for mPCIe/M.2 cards above cat6.

  7. OK after some late night Monster Ultra and zip ties I set up on the test antenna for the ports 1/1 and left stock 3 dB antenna for antennae ports 0/0 or in english main ports on the big guy, and the little guys on the extra diversity ports. Running strictly band 2. Speeds are up about 110% on the downlink.

    Some notes so far;
AT&T; I have seen bands 2/12/14 on this guy, aggregating 2 with 12 and 14. Speculating since MFBI is not enabled for band 66 on ATT(or Tmo) here when I lock band 4, I get band 66 VZW and naturally it will not connect. This may be the card, I have picked up band 4 on ATT via other cards but it for some reason, will not authenticate unless I move it to 4 from another band. Maybe just bad reception. Who knows?

T-Mo; I have aggregated bands 2/4/5 and it did well, I did not play with it too much as T-mo is in our daily driver. Lots of hex addition and such proved band 71 is not available yet on the release firmware. It is not deployed near us yet so we are cozy waiting for the next release.

VZW; I have seen band 2/66 here on the radio scan, but I don't have a sim to use.

Sprint; I have seen the magic box show up on the radio scan, but it will be a bit since we only have one Sprint handset/sim to authenticate a connection. I will try in the near future.

I also dug around and found the CBRS band is disabled. Lame.

We had it competing against the cat12 2x2 radio last night and it did just fine. Zip tie seat belt and all.

I am going to put this card in the PoE box we built today and get it a little better supported and looking pretty.

Have a great day everyone.  🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
