  1. I was just having some fun with ya. You quoted his post that says Denver, that state Capital of Colorado, asking about California.
  2. That is wild, you would think no service on Sprint would roam before Tmo since Sprint has always been liberal with the roaming versus Tmo. I had the opposite experience yesterday. I threw a Sprint SIM in an embedded radio and ran through every band available in the T-Mobile network from the coast to the capital yesterday. Bands 2/4/5/12/71/and aws3 66 in 3 markets and 2 states. Also during the App state v S Carolina game. It doesn't get busier than that. Yes they all aggregated. Just a plain old phone line too. I wonder what the dynamic network controls are that let an enb tx the clearwire mnc only on certain channels or maybe even sectors? Roaming has generally been a plan level feature. But I guess if it is not switched on you won't get it. Unfortunately it is all subjective or anecdotal and no one has put forward an answer how or why.
  3. Traveling from the coast to capital city today. Great until you get off the beaten path. Fair as you get off the beaten path. Gone once you make a new path.
  4. Like WiMAX, it was the right and available technology at the time of launch. New Radio offers a bit more capacity and will be widely available sooner than a lot of folks expected, while dynamic spectrum sharing is something that about 2 of many vendors have a product for, or will soon so this is what we end up with. Throw in the clearance schedule for digital dividend spectrum and you have a lot of rules, vectors and variables.
  5. Pretty sure the idea is to preserve maximum bandwidth for the New Radio launch.
  6. Band 71 @5MHz aggregated with band 2 @10MHz, these are the only channels available on this site. Interstate 95 N of Florence SC. I don't know why everyone keeps spreading misinformation about these bands not aggregating, just like certain roaming bands being restricted, this is untrue. Y'all should stop.
  7. It is a Verizon product. Verizon branded. I agree, unlimited data is far from 2Gb of usage.
  8. He is talking about Visible most likely, the VZW mvno. It is 25$ a month each with 4 lines. Unlimited, deprioritized from byte 1, with unlimited tethering capped at 5Mb p/s.
  9. I got the invite for Tmo home internet. Even though I use standard lines for internet I will take em up on this offer. Will be looking to see if the sim survives a device swap, if it is geo locked as all the tools on Reddit say, and what kind of optimization this line suffers.
  10. Can confirm. We started at 10MHz here, I went to test out if my embedded cat18 radio would pick up band 71 and it sure went right down to 5MHz.
  11. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/06/softbank-ceo-says-after-wework-there-will-be-no-rescue-investments.html "SoftBank will make “no investment for the purpose of rescue,” Son told investors on Wednesday, after the Japanese conglomerate reported its first quarterly loss in 14 years. He said portfolio companies must be “self-financing,” and “that’s something that I would like to clearly extend my message to you.” Remember when Mayoshi Son was worried Sprint would weigh down Softbank's share price? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
  12. SoftBank is the techworld equivalent of a lotto winner, plowing through new access to Saudi Petro dollars on hookers and blow.
  13. https://photos.app.goo.gl/qKjuivFssWcLKUHf8 Here is my album of crappy screens confirming L600/LM960. I would set up the laptop and full logging and tracking suite but those things don't exist yet and I was driving at 12:30 am alone in the Carolina woods. So this is the best we get.
  14. Just checked muh notes, logs and looks like AT&T has it live here as well on a few modernized sites as SCC.
  15. Neat! Good question.Maybe they have some incentive going but it seems like they are patient with this rolling out. I found it on one site here and it was PCC. I was at the country music festival this summer, since 40% of the attendance was cops or feds; I watched for COWs, extra channels and found it. Naturally it was crushed at 5MHz / 30k people.

  17. Drive by post. Just got back from an early morning cruise to find band 71 with the LM960 in the back. Can now confirm this card will work 👍 This band does not appear in the bitmap so it can't be locked. It is always on in this firmware. Since band 66 is too it was a bit of work finding a place to test this. That is a story for later. I'm going to bed. Have a great week everyone and stay free out there 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
  18. V I S I O N F U N D https://www.axios.com/wework-softbank-bailout-adam-neumann-1b24ad1c-e1db-471a-9715-a50daf9e3bb5.html "The bear case is that SoftBank enabled Neumann's worst impulses and, from the perspective of many insiders, helped set fire to the company's reputation in the first place. Plus, there's the head-scratching decision late last month to have Claure help identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities at WeWork, even though SoftBank already had two directors on the WeWork board." LoL
  19. I always just sent back a box of parts, no one ever complained to me. I wonder if they will. I bet they go with all options, but who knows. They keep inflicting these things on folks looking for a solution, when in reality the first people who get them seem to be a field test.
  20. I remember when I tore down a few magic boxes, I found Sercomm was the vendor who made the relay radio in the OG and 2 versions. Now they just made a whole box. Pretty cool. One of you guys needs to get one and break it down. FCC pictures aren't the same.
