  1. If "Big Content" should pay for their traffic, what exactly am I paying my ISP for? "Big Content" isn't just dumping this traffic onto ISPs network, their paying customers are demanding it. Maybe if they have a problem with meeting that demand, they shouldn't go out of their way to advertise unlimited data and fast speeds and actually advertise what they can actually deliver. Given your views, I guess you'd be okay with UPS charging you for a delivery plus charging Amazon because they sent the package to you.
  2. True. Just basing this off recent comments on here, howardforums and especially the tmobile subreddit.
  3. Jesus, good thing this board has strict moderating, in every other discussion channel this "03" guy is very trollish....
  4. Going off the last NV Sites Complete map, 14.75% (if Clear sites are counted, higher if not) isn't a, 'small %'. But I see the point you're making and agree. Somehow, we've been extremely lucky in MN with regards to backhaul, save the Winona area.
  5. Lollipop and it's myriad of issues on the Nexus 5 has me seriously considering an iPhone in the future. I commute to and from work, which totals 3+ hours depending on weather and constant app closures due to memory leaks are just infuriating. Last thing I want to do is reopen Spotify every 30 mins or reopen Maps while using the navigation feature to auto find faster routes. Google seriously has dropped the ball on fixing the memory leaks even after two more releases to Lollipop, lets hope 5.1 addresses these things. That and the absolute shit SoT time is just frustrating. 2.5 hrs of SoT is just unacceptable.
  6. Is the data drop issue device related? I notice on my commute everyday, that I'll have bars with an exclamation mark, and SCP will say I'm connected, but until I toggle air plane mode, data is unusable. Is this common?
  7. Experiencing the same issue. It's becoming more and more frequent.
  8. Thanks! This did the trick! Also, as far as "funnyPref1" goes, each person will have to figure out their NAI, mine ended in 02 instead of 00. I used the Nexus 5 Field Test app, then Settings(view) --> Data Profile --> View.
  9. No, I just used your apk. Oh well.
  10. Hmm, it doesn't recognize my phone number and won't let me log in saying mdn is required as a parameter.
  11. Okay, yeah I thought something was up. I'm a mile away from a tower which usually gives me -70 to -85 dBm signal, but it just keeps flipping to eHRPD even with a slight move. It keeps flipping between that and Band 25 and 26. So far, this only has happened in suburb of Chicago, where I'm currently visiting.
  12. Apple only showed at&t, verizon and t-mobile for that portion. With t-mobile being the initial carrier supporting it.
  13. Lol, no band 12, so sad. Nah, not really.
  14. Winona and Duluth, it's a mystery (not really). Winona area sucks when traveling to Chicago.
  15. How likely is it that T-Mobile runs into the same backhaul issues Sprint is experiencing for their 2G-to-LTE upgrades? With their estimated time of completion, it looks like they don't expect to have the same issues, unless of course different types of backhaul will be used by T-Mobile, instead of mostly fiber.
  16. Well, picked up Band 41 for the first time ever. Got about 20 Mbps at about 4:40 pm southern suburbs of the cities on I35. Not bad at all, I held on to Band 41 a bit past Lakeville.
  17. Man, this is just sad, GPE devices already getting the update....
  18. No one has gotten that update yet. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  19. Is there any reason why my phone would just keep using 1X 800 all the time? I was driving back and once my phone picked it up it didn't let go. Got into my hometown and it still sticks to 1X 800, I never had signal problems before in any of the areas Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  20. Any reason for my phone not picking up LTE even though one of the Sprint tower in Austin has been 3G/800/LTE complete? What's weirder is that SignalCheck now shows my connection as EV-DO all the time now, used to be eHRPD. Not sure if that is significant or not.
  21. Okay, thanks for the info. Another question if you can answer or not, why not 3G 800?
  22. Thank you for the info. Looks like Austin finally moved from In Progress, but unfortunately only to 3G, but I guess they did both towers instead of only one. Is fiber still the issue in Austin?
  23. I know you said all WiMax markets are being upgraded to TD-LTE, but what about areas that had WiMax but wasn't advertised? For example, I know there was/is(?) WiMax service by Clear/Sprint in the Mankato, MN area, but it wasn't advertised. Will those areas get upgraded as well?
  24. Looks like my angry post didn't last long. Is Austin or area around Albert Lea gonna get any fixes soon? Or will it keep getting pushed back further?
  25. Any info on the tower by MSU-Mankato? It's listed as part of Network Vision, but I haven't seen any updates on it. All the other towers seem to have work done on them.
