  1. I have seen this too. Although it doesn't happen every time.
  2. Yeah, the incumbent market piece of the eCSFB issue is about capability. Non-incumbent markets can not work with eCSFB at all without NV 3g upgrades. Incumbent markets are capable, but they still need site/core updates for it to work. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. For anyone who has experienced the issue where an incoming call while on LTE locks your nexus on the call screen and you can't answer, we are starting to get a response from Google. Please goto this google products thread and post about your issues. They have already contacted me about collecting some bug reports. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/nexus/jZUSj0BXCyE/UG3fABvh3e0J
  4. Mikejeep, sounds like you should check out youmail. It may fit your needs better than gv. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. How do you know they are enabled? A hotspot device? b41 sites are limited by eCSFB just like the b25 sites. They probably need an update to enable eCSFB.
  6. Can't imagine it will be much longer. Probably early next week. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. I can confirm that switching to 3G seems to eliminate the problem.
  8. Trying it now..haven't seen a cycle yet.
  9. I understand the single radio idea, but I am in a location without LTE. If I am on a 1X/EVDO connection, and send a text there should be no reason to drop the connection and re-establish it. It also doesn't explain why turning off wifi seems to affect the behavior.
  10. I have been paying closer attention to when my phone goes into signal search cycles. It seems to be a lot worse when I am on wifi. It also seems like an sms can trigger a cycle. When I disable wifi, the constant cycles stop. Any one else see this behavior?
  11. After thinking about it for a bit, I wonder if this is the new single radio behavior for when it searches for LTE. If there is only one radio path, it might need to drop the 1X/EVDO connection while it scans for LTE. Then it reconnects when it can't find LTE... rinse and repeat.
  12. I see this in some locations around the Washington DC area too. Since it doesn't happen everywhere, I am throwing in in the eCSFB bucket and am assuming it will fix itself as the network progresses. I have only noticed this in areas without LTE coverage.
  13. This makes me believe the sites need to advertise eCSFB capability somehow which the new tri band phones are looking for. Hopefully It's not long before Shentel pushes out an update to 'turn it on'...
  14. If eCSFB wasn't part of the original Network Vision 1.0 plan then there might need to be a software update pushed to existing NV1.0 equipment to play nice. The leaked document says "All markets need to be upgraded with eCSFB capability" Perhaps this is why some users have seen their LTE all a sudden start working. Sprint may be in a mad dash to push out software updates for the new eCSFB phones....
  15. I bet you didn't think that was possible
  16. I think you may be on to something! I had a solid LTE signal from my house to work yesterday. When I went out for lunch in an area that had WiMax towers and 'may' be live on TD-LTE, 1900 MHz LTE wouldn't connect. On my way home, LTE picked right back up where it left off before. Hmm.....
  17. I second this! I was able to hold a solid LTE signal on my way to work this morning. With my EVO LTE, it would drop and reconnect regularly.
  18. I think we need to all calm down a bit and realize this is a major shift in normal Sprint operations. The road will be bumpy at first. I am sure Sprint was focused on the 16GB version as this is what they are selling. We all have two weeks to return the phone if Sprint can't get their act together for the 32GB model. Lets have some patience and see how things progress this week. Mine is due to show up tomorrow and I am really looking forward to activating it, but that might not happen right away. Anyone who ordered the phone from the Play store and thought that this would go perfect was fooling themselves. Every one of us was nervous, wondering if it would really work. Deep breath.. its only a phone.
  19. I just got my sprint order confirmation notice for my sim and the item number matches the SKU in the ASC NEWS post! Come on UPS man!
  20. I convinced Alejandra to send me a sim when they opened at 10. I guess they are prepared now.
  21. So I have been watching my phone a little closer like a good phone geek should. It does keep 'trying' to make an EVDO connection so I must be on the fringe of an enabled site. I am nearest the 98/canal site so its not that one. Perhaps the 98/20 site is already broadcasting? I'll be able to check when I make it into Fairview later today.
  22. Go get a Moto X, you won't be disappointed Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 4
