  1. I took the advice and grabbed that app as well. However I, too, noticed the issue with the app setting the priorities differently from what i originally had in place. I wonder why that is. Also, if I actually go in using the*#*#3282#*#* method, the only choices I get for band priority are 0 or 1. There is not even an option for a 2 or a 3 and all 3 bands I have set to "enable." Is that odd or is that normal?
  2. Ha well thanks. I am not as tech savvy as most in this forum (which is why this has been difficult to grasp for me) but I'm still the king nerd in my circle of friends.
  3. Whoa..relax guys. Seriously. I appreciate the input and will do as you guys say. I definitely appreciate the input for sure but not the sarcasm. Geez!! I'll report back my findings later today.
  4. I don't think so because it wouldn't be apples to apples, right? Because this phone really isn't triband yet. Not until the update. I may be missing something...?
  5. Cool. Thanks for your input. It's been going on for more than 6 weeks but perhaps you're right. I did call them a few weeks ago but they said no tower work was going on.
  6. OK i did that. Weak b25 LTE signal.
  7. [ name=digiblur" post="312403" timestamp="1398711616]I just told you how to know. Well true but it couldn't just be any triband phone as my n5 obviously isn't yet spark enabled. So in order to establish an effective baseline, it would have to be another n5 in the same location. My local Sprint store has no live demo of an N5 as I've already tried that. No one I know nor live with nor work with has a Sprint N5 either. Hence, my dilemma.
  8. I just wish there were a way to definitively know so I would know whether to reach out to Google for a replacement phone or just simply wait for the issues to resolve themselves.
  9. I know how to put it in LTE (recommend) but I'm not familiar with LTE only. I don't see that option or is it enabled via other means. It's currently in LTE (recommended) and has been all along.
  10. Hey digi...no b25 LTE is everywhere here. Has been for about 18 months. Zero issues on the gs4 but it was a single band LTE phone..so no eCSFB issues. This n5 can't get LTE anywhere my gs4 did except in rare instances for 3 or 4 minutes at a time.
  11. [quoall as name=kojitsari" post="312361" timestamp="1398706388]Ecsfb/csfb is related to tower/network issues, so the spark update won't fix it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Central Atlanta supposedly doesn't have any eCSFB issues at all as they were upgraded months ago. So I just really wanna know if it's just my phone or these eCSFB issues...which has essentially made my triband lte phone a 3G phone of yesteryear.
  12. So what you are suggesting is that I don't have a defective nexus 5 and that the spark update will fix the issues that are destroying my life...er...am experiencing?
  13. I'm definitely confused on this. The Sprint reps at my local store don't even know what eCSFB is ...so....how can they help me and how do I resolve this issue? Any ideas?
  14. Is there a way to know if my local towers have eCSFB enabled?
  15. Yeah toggling airplane mode for me usually results in a total lack of service for at least 2 to as many as 5 minutes. I feel like smashing this phone into the pavement.
  16. No one is talking about the Spark update lately. Has there been any resolution on this yet?
  17. Yeah they were VERY hesitant to give me my MSL.
  18. You may very well be correct. But the technicians at the store near my house have zero interest in looking into it. I think i pissed them off by knowing more about Sprint's network than they do....thanks to s4gru!!
  19. Ah...OK. Wow I hope you're correct. That would mean that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, never mind how distant. But I'm sooooooo extremely frustrated because I went from a great 4g phone (galaxy s4) to what FEELS LIKE a 3g phone. I can't with this!! Oh...and I've experienced these issues since I bought this phone one month ago.
  20. Well you're certainty honest. Usually a positive thing lol. Um..stock. I wouldn't have any clue how to change that.
  21. My understanding of eCSFB issues was that it only applied to non NV upgraded 3g towers. Thankfully those don't exist anywhere around here and so I'm inclined to believe that it has nothing to do with eCSFB issues. I took my phone to Sprint and they were about to close and had zero interest in actually having the tech look at it. I was pissed. And not in the British way
  22. OK thanks. And I'm amused right now because I'm on 19th street in midtown Atlanta.. an area with wall to wall outdoor LTE coverage..and my N5 is stuck in 3G. Next time I can force it to latch onto LTE I will see what band I'm on. Will it mention b25 or no? You said it would indicate bands 26 and 41 but will it also say b25 where applicable?
