If there was 3G coverage, wouldn't I see that indicated instead of 1X? I'm literally one block from The White House.
Well maybe they just have 1X and nothing else there in that area. Also possible as I have seen that before.

I keep my Voice/Data roaming off entirely. When working in Downtown DC in certain buildings, I sometimes see 3 dots of coverage on my iPhone 7 and 1X. What does this mean in terms of Sprint coverage?
Why am I picking up the voice network and not the LTE network?
Maybe they just have 3G coverage in that area. There are a lot of areas where that can happen.
-
Im surprised that 1x doesn't get through with LTE near by.
They need a small cell in this area.

People still roam on V?? LOL (I haven't roamed on V for about 2 years)
All joking aside, if by 2019 V roaming is still a thing, I think Sprint will have other issues to worry about.
I roam on Verizon when I go toward the center of this building I work in. :-)
If I'm by the window, I get great Sprint LTE coverage.

I hope the next Pixel will have those specs AND have them enabled
Now you're asking for too much!

Nougat update is finally rolling out to the Galaxy S6, S6 edge https://www.androidcentral.com/nougat-update-finally-rolling-out-galaxy-s6-and-s6-edge

Ah, ok. The article I posted must have been a late article talking about the delay from Feb.

...and Nougat has been delayed for the GS6. :-(

Where is the best place to sell a completely unused phone (a HTC Bolt I won in a contest) to get the most money?

I went roaming today down towards Elberton GA today and saw this Extended LTE in VZW did a speed test and then looked at the Band which is 17 does VZW run on Band 17?
When I did the speed test it was connected to Sprint for voice but in Field test still showed Band 17

No, AT&T runs on B17

Another security update was released. It's not on the Sprint support site but my phone just installed it. It has the Feb 1, 2017 security updates.

Sprint getting out HPUE has to count as a win, right?
Anyway I am hoping this is the checklist for 2017:
Average network speeds increase from 15 to 25 Mbps
VoLTE trials start in earnest with EVS and AMR-WB support
256 QAM and 4x4 MIMO hit the entire network
5G New Radio trials in major cities
Massive MIMO sites start being deployed
Ericsson and Nokia antenna integrated radios become de facto network deployment going forward
Expand LTE to 300 million native POP's.
VoLTE roaming with USCC

The bold ones are my wish list items. I don't think that's too much to ask. :-)

What did you guys expect was going to happen? It was posted here since late last week what we were going to get today. They gave you 10GB and premium streaming while being cheaper than Verizon so what's the complaint now, that they couldn't get you off of ED1500? That sounds like a personal problem.
I'd switch to a $60 Unlimited, 10GB hotspot, HD video streaming plan in a second!

I've pretty much always received spam calls. (over 10 yrs)

Maybe they'll throw in a free* tablet
*$19.99 a month service charges, 24 months
To be fair, the free Amazon prime they did a year or two ago for existing customers was nice
Yeah, we got a few free years of Prime out of that.

Mentioned here: https://twitter.com/sprintcare/status/833410713188188161
Oh, for customers already on unlimited freedom plans.

Tuesday Sprint will announce new promotion for existing customers....

B26 has been lighting up market wide. That's what's been happening
128129132 so far have been found. There's much more out there that hasn't yet been found. That's great. But the problem is when my phone does go to B26, I'll have half my bars, but the data is pretty useless (no data or very slow speeds).
Hopefully some optimization will fix that.

Has anybody tried to sign up for the new plan today?
-
Sprint could address this so easily by just making the post promo pricing for Unlimited Freedom available to all customers:
Line 1: $60/month
Line 2: $40/month
Lines 3-10: $30/month
Include HD Streaming and 10 GB of Tethering.
I hope Sprint gets the message before too many loyal customers leave...
I completely agree with this. I'd switch to that plan and be happy. :-)

My phone has been bouncing back and forth between B41, B25 and ....B26! today. What looks like is happening is that it drop network connection completely then reconnects. When it reconnects, it's on B26 intially then goes to either B41 or B25.
So SCP is contantly showing the 1xRTT connection with the LTE connection.
Anybody know of anything that's happening in the area?

So is it just me or is the Sprint website down for anyone else? When I go to sprint.com it just gives me a splash page about getting the app for my phone, even though I'm on my PC. Opening the Sprint Zone app gives me a login page and when I log in I get a "System not available" pop-up. Anyone else?

The website is up for me.
-
And this is from a 3x3 carrier. I'm trying to enjoy it while I have the chance
Oh wow, I didn't know they were doing 3 Mhz channels.
-
The wait is over. B25 10x10 is live.
That's a great signal strength. Were you standing right by the tower?
-
Keep your eyes peeled. It's still plugging away at my local site this morning.

How far are you from your home site? I'm pretty close at about a 1/2 mile, so I wouldn't have any trouble even with B41.
I'm about a mile from a site. I'm in Mayfield Heights during the day. I doubt I will see B26, since my phone will look for B41 and B25 first. And when my LTE signal does get weak (when I move away from the windows), it just drops to BC10 3G.

The Sprint coverage map was updated today. I see a lot more LTE Plus coverage in the Cleveland area. Anybody else notice any differences?
